Jason Dohring is a horrible narrator!

Sophie Turner was excellent! Jason Dohring was so bad it was hard to listen to. Don't these people listen to their narrators first? His attempt at the British accent was ridiculous! And he didn't perform...he read. Very disappointing.

I Like and Loved it

It to me forever to listen to this story because I was not sure if it was going to end happily. Silly I know. I can't wait for the new series.

Excellent story of growth and loss

This story was a great tail of imagination and the lengths that will be gone to help our friends. If there is one failure of this book I think that the readers Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner were poorly matched. Each did very well but I would have preferred to hear one of them read rather than both of them trading off. Not the readers' fault or the writers' fault this was a production problem.

The End

Never have I been so moved, and so saddened at the death of fictional characters. I look forward to continuing with this universe in the future.

When did everyone become British??????

What made the experience of listening to City of Heavenly Fire the most enjoyable?

Super disappointed in the narration of this book! Everyone had a British accent. Most characters were from New York or at least somewhere in America. Nothing irks me more than wrong accents for characters (like TV series Reign, they are Scottish and French NOT English). Not happy that it felt like a third of the book was wasted setting up new characters for a new series, write a novella to do that. I was okay with tying the Infernal Devices characters into the story since I had read that series but it really wasn't necessary. The story and ending itself was not too bad, but I didn't feel it was a good as it could have been. The "Chuck" ending sucks and seriously lacked creativity, but at least the epilogue helped redeem it some.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Lose the new characters and story line.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

1. Use the same narrators for the whole series. Changing narrators on each book definitely takes you out of it. 2. Use narrators that can use the correct accents for each character. THEY WERE NOT ALL BRITISH!!! I'm not even sure ANY were supposed to be British.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Cried at the ending because it left little to be happy about. The good guys win but at what cost...it seemed no one got a truly happy ending.

Great story & performance!

This book allows time to pass far to quickly. I loved it! It is so descriptive that I feel as if I am a character in the book.

Great story bad narration

Great story bad narration. The male narration was the worst in the series in my opinion

Narrators not a deal breaker

Story was amazing as usual. The second change of narrators was....extremely difficult to start the book and stay focused. But it got better!

Loved it!

Great ending to the series. I know most people complained about the narration, to me they were both fine especially enjoyed Sophie. Side note, they really butchered the story on the tv show!
