Better than I thought it would be

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yeah, it was really good on audio. It was something I probably wouldn't have kept up with it I would have actually read it, but the audio really brought it to life.

What did you like best about this story?

That it was a fairy tale retelling but still had a lot of different stuff in it.

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Soler’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First time listening to Rebecca and she was spot on!

Omg

Wow I didn't really expect this. I knew it was going to be a retelling of Cinderella. But I didn't really know it was going to take place in the future. I was surprised that cinder is in prison and I hope she gets out safe. Can't wait to read the next book!

Fantastic adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

This science-fiction fairy tale gripped me from the outset. The narration is very good, and makes the listen that much better.

The story is a re-conception of Cinderella, where Cinder is a highly capable, independent and unconventional cyborg girl, who finds herself enmeshed in political intrigue, secret missions, and a swoon-worthy interaction with a wonderfully normal prince.

I don't want to give anything away. If you like entertainment, this book is a nice start to an intelligent series that redefines the roles of the heroine and hero, addresses many modern-day issues (conformity, risk-taking, self-acceptance), and has excellently developed characters. I will listen to the next in the series!

Just like Cinderela!

Super Ya! Cute... I was annoyed at times at the characters since they are sooooo teenagers! But come on! It's a cyborg fairytale with prince and Princesses (and robotic limbs). If you don't love that kind of thing then stay away from it but if you are a sucker for cute romances like me then don't think twice ;-). About the narrator... I like her voice. She reads well but couldn't distinguish the characters from each other sometimes. I hope my review helps you.
