I love the combination of fairytale and science fiction the Meyer intertwines together! I was not expecting to be so engrossed in the story. I started playing it to have something to listen to while folding laundry one night and then the next thing I knew I had finished it the following day and found myself downloading and listening to Scarlet! Great read!

One of the best narrators I have heard!
The story was good, 4.5 stars. The writer had me guessing, thinking I knew what was coming then making me doubt myself. And finally surprising me several times. Her characters are well rounded though a little standard. She used the fairytale as a backbone to structure the plot, then added many twists. I enjoyed it. Not to mention this narrator was by far the best I've heard. I loved her telling of the story and her voice has so much character!!! I enjoyed her the most.

Another surprising twist to a familiar tale
I was hoping this would not disappoint& it didn't. I usually listen to books read by men so it took awhile to get used to the narrator, she actually did well though I kind of wish it being in "New Beijing" would have had a narrator with an accent. By the end of the book I was hooked& had to know how the series would end. A good summer read, touching on love, cast/class system, finding your way in life, etc.

READ THIS BOOK
I enjoyed this read so much! I had no idea what to expect, I just found the title on a friend's bookshelf and got it on audible, and did not regret it! At first it took me a while to get hooked, but I enjoyed the sarcastic humor, and the Cinderella references immensely, then the action began and I couldn't stop listening. Awesome job with the voices, there were no two characters alike. If you're expecting just another Cinderella story, prepare yourself to be blown away.

Exceeded expectations
The storyline following familiar fairytale Cinderella was fun. The talk of robots and cyborgs bearable. Just enough romance to stay exciting. Enough action to engage.

Adult here
I'm pretty sure this book was not written for adults, duh. But I just finished the first one and I'm about to order the second one. It was both pleasing and entertaining.
