    "Loved Every Minute"
If you could sum up Bait in three words, what would they be?

    Deep, Expressive, Bold

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved the story for Mr. Vidas. He worked so hard to help, and all of the time, he was in a happy gay relationship, and in the end, it didn't matter.

What does Joey Florez bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You can get a better viewpoint of each character with the way that voices are annunciated. It really brings the characters to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were a few points where I cried because it was so relatable, some parts were because of joy and relief.

    Any additional comments?

This is one of Alex's best books. I've read it 8 times and listened to the audiobook for than that. I learn something new each time.

    "His best?"
    Any additional comments?

I have read a few of Sanchez's stories and I think this the best of them. A powerful undercurrent runs through the entire novel. Obviously something awful is involved, but Sanchez releases the tension only bit by bit, as the reader joins the psychologist Vidas's exploration of Diego's trauma. The hurt seems palpable at times, and the role of victim and survivor are vividly expressed through Diego's thoughts. Well worth the listen.
