Yes and I have. I recommend this book series to anyone that likes a good fun and quick read. Especially if they are into fairy tale stuff.
I loved the last few chapters that left a the reader feeling complete and not guessing about what happened after.
I loved her entire performance.
Ya the queen in the end was moving before she died.
I strongly suggest this book series to all readers! It was amazing and I hope to find similar books!
I don't have time to sit and read, but I have plenty of time to sit and listen! :)
A very good series that has a spin that keeps you coming back for more.
Once again the dialog between characters was difficult as it seemed they never get to the point but continue to talk in circles like everyone assumes everyone knows what is going on. Other than that I found the book delightful.
Wendy is faced with the loss of her mother, the overbearing force of her farther killing off her kingdom and trying to please people who have no faith in her. Making sacrifices is not easy when the mass is not on her side. But running away is not an option anymore and she tries to figure out how to save her kingdom without the loss of life to her people.
Yes. The Trylle Trilogy was incredible. Amanda really knows how to captivate those who love phantasy stories. I could not wait to listen to the the last book of the serie. The three books were wonderfully written and captivate you. The ending was amazing.
It was when Wendy finally admits loving Loki and spends the night with Loki during a time of a lot despair.
Yes. Is listened to Torn. In both cases the performance was excellent. It was the best performance from the books I heard so far.
If I had the book, page turner! Suspenseful! Amazing and that's not just this book the whole series!!!
If I it was all so amazing. Amanda Hocking is a amazing writer. I absolutely love her books.
When she and Luke Make passionate love, and when her mother died I could not stop crying.
I am struggling to rate this book. Overall I like the potential of the series but have some problems in a few areas.
First: When is adultery ever alright? And should this ever be portrayed in a YA book?
Second: Even though I know it is the thing now to place a Gay person in the stories, I still prefer not to have it and definitely would not recommend it to young impressionable minds.
Third: There was a lot of mindless violence.
I really liked the series up to this point. Wendy did matured in this last book in some ways but then did some really stupid things as well. Many situations went in directions that I would rather have happen differently. The way things end up however are good and definitely better for everyone. It is just the getting there that I had problems with.
I enjoyed the story added on that tells of the future. It was cute.
I listened to all these books one after the other.
I would highly recommend the whole series to anyone who's looking for a new paranormal series - this one is about a society of trolls.
A great story by Amanda Hocking and great narration by Therese Plummer.
I'm not sure the Wendy of Ascend is the same Wendy that was in Switched. Within a few months, she's gone from sounding like a fairly normal girl to a very proper royal. She marries her gay friend, knowing he's gay, though she keeps a few make out buddies on the side. She even has sex with one of them, after her husband beats her up while not in his right mind. Of course, he is completely blameless since he wasn't in his right mind. Sound convoluted? Yep, that's because it is!
Don't waste your money on this one, or book # 2. They were equally bad.
I liked Willow because she grew as a person through the story.
A little disappointed in the very cliche ending. I kind of wished for a strong somewhat independent queen at the end but wasn't unhappy with the 'happily ever after'.
I was surprised at how much I liked this series. I picked the first book out just browsing for something to listen to. I enjoyed it so much I ordered the rest of the trilogy and listened to the whole series very quickly. Therese Plummer did a great job with the narration.
I enjoyed the first two books of this trilogy but was left thoroughly disappointed by this one, it rushed through the storyline, lacked depth and felt almost as if the author already working on something else and this was just a quick goodbye...
