adventure,charming atmosphere, worthy characters
The author of the Artemis Fowl series brings this story of an island kingdom from the last century alive with excitement. The requisite princess and hero start as babes and suffer through love, murder, greed, power hungry attacks,a prison like the Chateau D'If, and the imagination to want to fly. There are great characters who support the story throughout.

A great story and well read.
It kept the kids and the adults engaged for the duration of a long road trip. Great after having read The Wright Brothers by David McCullough recently.

Best audiobook ever
This book is my absolute favorite. I can listen to it over and over. The book has a crew of great characters and typical Colfer humor. Intrigues and apprehensions push the story ever forward. I love the Artemis Fowl books, but Airman tops them all!

Fun for all ages.
If you love historical fiction you'll love this book. It may be shelved as a child or young adult book And while those groups will truly enjoy the fun story. The facts and and scientific principles are taken seriously So it's not ridiculous for the adults, I'm 40 and I love it.

FUN and LIGHT! ENJOYABLE READ!
I had started this last year but then I got busy and I couldn't finish it. But I am finally able to finish this book and it was just as AWESOME and AMAZING as when I started it! If you like FANTASY and MIDDLE GRADE and HISTORY then this is a GREAT and FUN book! I highly recommend it! AWESOME, AMAZING, BRILLIANT and EPIC! A MUST READ!
