Another strong entry in the series

This collection of Arthur Hall's Sherlock Holmes pastiche holds its own when compared to his other books. Hall does a very good job capturing the mood/atmosphere of the era. Narrator David Bufton's unique, almost gentle voice makes the recording a relaxing listen.

A good collection

A nice collection of short stories, with a good sense of the characters and interesting cases.

I wasn't very fond of the narrator but that, of course, is a question of taste :P

If you enjoy classical Holmes' stories, this is for you.

Robot Reading

You know how it sounds when children who are currently learning the discipline read? Well that’s what this narrator reads like. As if he is carefully sounding out the words for the very first time. ZERO personality. ZERO variation between characters. ZERO inflection. Really now…. This is a professional narrator? Tsk tsk.
