Publisher's summary

My mountain man just had a delivery mailed to his door. Me.

Willow:

I was out of options when I signed up for the website. Now I’m a modern day mail-order bride and I’ve been delivered to the doorstep of my mountain man groom.

Bennett is a gentle giant who tells me that he knew I was his from the moment he saw me. I’m on the run from my past, and the mountain man’s bed is the best place to stay hidden.

I just need my secrets to stay hidden too.

Bennett:

She’s a tiny slip of a thing that I can lift one-handed, but my new bride is a spitfire too. From the moment I saw her, I knew I would do anything to protect her.

And nobody messes with what is mine.

Our marriage has been consummated in body, but I intend to have her heart and soul too. And that means that my sweet bride has to tell me everything. Even her darkest secrets.

Now that I have her, I won’t let her go. And anyone who threatens our life together is going to have a giant problem on their hands.

Me.

So Much YES!

I genuinely love this series - the storyline, narrators….all brilliant!! I know it’s fiction but it’s a bit every how relevant and relatable it can be - how much it genuinely calls to my soul. What really stood out to me in particular for this book was the little tidbit of women’s shelters with safety/security. It may seem silly to focus on, but the importance of this nugget of information can literally save lives and, working with displaced peoples, I wish more people knew things like this; randomly reading/hearing it in a book only helps to spread hope! Love it!!

A modern mail order bride and a mountain man

I am a big fan of this Whiskey River series, and I couldn’t wait to read about Bennett’s mail order bride romance that was mentioned at the end of book 3. I absolutely loved this book. This series is getting better and better! Despite their unconventional way of meeting, Willow and Bennett immediately felt a connection with each other. I love the warmth and respect in Kaci Rose’s characters. I love how the handsome men are protective without being overprotective. Bennett is like the perfect man: considerate, supportive, handsome, respectful, possessing a beautiful house, and cherishing his woman. Willow is very relatable as a normal woman who has gone through a lot. It was also great hearing from all the couples in the series and reveling in the wonderful sense of community that they fostered. I was so pleased by this story that I will definitely re-listen. The 3.5-hour length was perfect; it felt like a complete, satisfying romance.

The narration by Vincent Skye and Isabelle Turner was perfect! They each embodied all the characters and matched each other’s character voices extraordinarily well. Both narrators wonderfully conveyed the warmth between Willow and Bennett and are both great action scenes and bedroom scenes. Isabelle Turner has a very pleasing and musical voice. Vincent Skye is wonderful as Bennett with his deep, masculine, sexy voice. This series has had a bounty of excellent narrators, which is a real gem to find in a romance series.
