Publisher's summary

He has a big...smile.

It was the first thing I noticed that day until he stood. His grey sweatpants hung off his hips, and I didn’t want to look. I really didn’t.

I’m a feminist.

I don’t believe in objectifying men. I don’t catcall men. I don’t ogle the bodies of men. I don’t view men as objects of my affection rather than complex people with feelings, wants, and needs of their own. I don’t treat men the way society often treats women.

I treat men the way I want to be treated as a woman - with respect!

So, when Carlos ran into me while I was reviewing my interview questions in the park, it surprised me to see my photography classmate out of class. I was also surprised to see as much of him as I did.

It wasn’t just that it caught my eye. It was the fact that it held my attention.

It wasn’t just that it was large. It was the fact that it was visibly large.

It wasn’t just that it was Carlos Richmond. It was the fact that I am Akila Bishara.

And I am not seduced by anything other than intelligent conversation, witty rapport, and meaningful actions.

I am not seduced by a dick print.

I am not.

Seriously, I’m not.

Nice Story

Good overall story. Though it got a bit explicit sex wise and repetitive with several sentences in varied chapters, it was a sood story overall. I didn't care fir the female voice doing all the male characters. But, the story was good overall.

I liked It!

It was just enough of the good stuff and held my attention from beginning to end. Those "Lost Boys" need to be taught some act right and Akeelah didn't go as hard as I felt she should have in her moment to shine with them, but over all, I liked the story. Wesleigh narrated the whole book with perfection.

Awareness!

I love a Man who pays attention to his sights! Isn't afraid to take a vulnerable chance for the right person...

Great story

This was a great story, and with Welseigh narrator, it was even better. The lost boys irked me, well, city boy.
Overall I would recommend this book

okay I am lost

One I love a Wesleigh narration however, her reading all the parts just felt like a continuation of talking. For me, it was a good story line however I felt there was too much anger towards the wrong person. I feel like Akelia is being dramatic at time and the majority of the book was her focused on the lost boys and there is too much emphasis on her expressing her drama with Carlos. I am mad that it took chapter 12 for the first sex scene then there were only 2 out of the entire book. I am glad Carlos saw what his friend did but I wished there were more of Carlos laying in on City Boy.

Great Read & Storytelling

The story gave me a great storyline that had me laughing and exasperated throughout. I enjoyed the sisterhood and support of the female protagonist and frustrated with the male antagonist. Excited and happy when the male protagonist got a clue and allowed his feelings to guide him toward a HEA.
