Fun story
I love Portia MacIntosh books!! This is such a fun story, with relatable characters. The narrator is amazing and makes the story pop. I laughed at several points throughout. Highly recommend for a light, funny read.

Just Great
I love the combination of Portia’s witty writing and Karen Cass’ narration. Karen is seriously an amazing narrator and one of the few female narrators whose male voices are as good as the female. Loved this story!

A real feel good book
This was a very interesting and funny book. I think that's why I have really enjoyed all of the Portia Macintosh books. The characters are always very interesting and funny. I've always enjoyed humor in any of the books I've read. Karen Cass does a wonderful job on the narration.

ending was too abrupt
It was cute enough. I think they could of left out the weird conflict. Too forced.
The story had potential it just did not unfold easily or cleanly for me.

Needed more chemistry!
This book baffled me a bit. Although very predictable, I enjoyed the author's writing style and the narrator was phenomenal, but there just wasn't enough character development. I continued to listen because it was a lighthearted Christmasy read, and I kept expecting or hoping or assuming that the main character's love interest would become lovable. Ugh, but he was just kind of a brat the whole time. I liked the characters, I just wish the author spent more time on developing their chemistry instead of describing the Christmas scenery. Not a satisfying use of a credit but I don't regret the listen.

This was a perfect “headed into the holidays “ romantic comedy! The narrator was perfect snd the characters were so much fun! I want to visit her home town at the holidays AND stay with her family!! Well worth the credit

sweet, funny and surprising!
I usually read quite a few predictable stories and I thought this would be the same. It was and it wasn't. I didn't expect a few twists and turns and I liked that it didn't follow the typical ROM com storyline. I also loved Sadie'a family. i would love to be there and experience Christmas in that town. it just sounded like perfection.
