Charles Spurgeon, the Prince of Preachers, was a pastor to well over 5,000 people in a day long before "mega-churches" were the norm. Important book. A manwho stood for truth.
A man, who was rejected by many of his peers in the downgrade controversy, now stands the test of Time, as those other men are forgotten!

Outstanding!!
This was a fantastic read for many reasons. He Narrated the story, highlighted important facts, clarified the reality of the 19th century context AND gave us nuggets to walk away with! Incredible read!!

Brilliant read
Dr. Chang does an excellent job of weaving both story and practicality through his biography of Spurgeon!

Edifying
Spurgeon never disappoints. Readers (especially pastors and leaders) will be encouraged, challenged, instructed, and prodded to think deeply about h the word church! May God raise up more faithful pastors like Spurgeon!
