Musician and writer Mishka Shubaly gives a rousing performance of his best-selling Kindle Single Shipwrecked, an account of his misadventures on the high seas. His deep voice is the perfect complement to the gripping true story. The summer after he graduated from college - when bull shark attacks dominated the news - Shubaly was mourning the death of a friend. Meanwhile, his drinking was veering out of control. In spite of this, he and four shipmates set off on a 48-foot sailboat, only to end up marooned on a Caribbean island.
In the Year of the Shark, a chance encounter between a ne'er-do-well writer and a tropical storm left him marooned on the deserted end of a Caribbean island and charged with the rescue of his four shipmates. There, Mishka Shubaly learned some valuable life lessons - among them that in the absence of whiskey, wine, and water, urine will get the job done.

After being a fan of Mishka's music for years I finally got around to checking out Shipwrecked. Loved it and his writing is just as deep and self-reflective as his songs. I'll definitely be checking out his other books!
