Publisher's summary

Mossad operative Adael Dayan has long been a pain in the ass to ATF special agents Thayne Wolfe and Jarrett Evans. Showing up in the middle of their cases, time after time, hasn’t endeared him to the pair. But both men grudgingly have to admit that he’s usually provided valuable assistance. When Adael suddenly wakes up believing he’s been poisoned, it becomes a race against the clock to help find the person who’s done this to him and learn why, in time to save his life.

Race Parker, former Green Beret, once carried Adael away from a vicious mercenary. Deeply attracted to Adael, Parker stayed with Dayan in the hospital, hoping there might be a future between them. When Adael yanked his hand out of his the moment Jarrett Evans showed up, Race didn’t hang around. He wasn’t falling for a guy who wanted someone else.

Long ago, Jarrett left Adael and the bad memories - that ended their mission in Gaza - behind. When he’d seen Parker and the Israeli in the hospital together, he’d had hopes that, maybe, Adael might finally find happiness regardless of Adael’s insistence that gay men never remained monogamous for long.

Thayne has long been resentful of the relationship Adael had with Jarrett. Every time the Israeli shows up, things go from bad to worse. In this final installment of the Death and Destruction series, our men will once again be thrown from the frying pan into the fire, and all because a rogue Israeli spy can’t keep his bullshit to himself.

Loved it

This series has been a great read (or listen, really) and this installment didn’t disappoint. The storyline, characters, and narration are all well done.

Fantastic listen!

The accents are awesome! The storyline is so thrilling and kept me guessing! To me this is a redemption storyline for one character.

Did not like this book.

This book wasn't the best. Even while Adael was going through stuff there was too much hostility toward him from T&J. There was no 🔥🔥 scenes between Adael and Parker, like why😠!

The constant repeat of "special agent incharge Dias, or repeating something that happend in previous books already mentioned several times" was soo annoying. 😠 Many of these repeats were just space fillers and time wasters.

It kinda felt like a cliffhangers because the team didn't get to the bottom of the mystery. If papa doesn't have it, where is it? All these deaths for what!?🧐

Adael found his lover but it could have been better. The love was not there but somehow they found it. I wanted a development between the two, it was lacking in soo many areas.

Great ending

Patricia and Micheal = Perfection. It was great catching up with all the boys and giving them a great send off.

great concluding addition

Did the story keep me engaged: absolutely
Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: in a heartbeat

I've loved every book in this series. There are so many things I like about this book. I'm happy it gave Adael a chance at a HEA. Race is a good match for him, he is strong enough physically and emotionally to not put up with Adael's crap and see past his hard candy shell to the softie he needs to be inside. I'm glad we got to see Lincoln, Sarah and their baby, that Thane (finally!) got past his insecurities when it comes to Adael and right at the end he and Jarret get fur-babies (yay! ... so funny), It also gives us another taste of Kane Delancey who appears in her WITSEC series ... just to dangle the carrot 😉.

Patricia Logan has written a great series for anyone who loves action, adventure, intrigue, and romance and I am sorry we have to say good bye.

Narrator comments: Michael Dean does an amazing job with this series, there are a lot of consistently recurring characters and they are always voiced the same and the intonations and emotions are always on the mark.
