He’ll do anything for his family....

Donovan “Donny” Steel is on a partnership track with a major Denver law firm. He loves his city career and his luxurious downtown loft, and life is going just how he planned it...until his mother, the city attorney for his hometown of Snow Creek, Colorado, asks him to move back and work for her when her assistant retires. Mom asks? Donny goes. Because he’ll do anything for the family who took him in 25 years ago. The fact that he can pick up where he left off with gorgeous Callie Pike is simply a fringe benefit.

Caroline “Callie” Pike was looking forward to finally beginning law school at age 26, but the western slope fire that destroyed most of her family’s vineyards put that plan on hold. At least she has Donny Steel’s return to look forward to. After she spent an evening with him at a recent party, he hasn’t strayed far from her mind.

When Donny and Callie meet again, sparks do more than fly. They shoot like rockets to the stars. But their chemistry can’t protect them from the emerging mysteries regarding the Steel family’s past...or the secret Callie is keeping as well.

Very interesting family with a lot of secrets. This one is a cliffhanger to be continued. I guess I’m gonna get the next book. Narrators were great.

Steel brothers saga continues

Spark by Helen Hardt

Donny Steel has followed in the path of his adoptive mom Jade as an attorney. When he returns home to practice law alongside his mom, he runs into Callie Pike. He almost hooked up with her after his brother’s wedding reception , and now he wants to finish what he started. But when secrets from the past once again begin to emerge, he starts doing some investigating with his brother Dale.

Callie Pike was excited that she was about to go to law school, but when a fire destroys her family’s vineyard, she has to put off school to help her family. She has always thought the Steel brothers were hot, but she never really thought she stood a chance. When she sees Donny again, things go super hot and spicy 🌶️ very quickly. When she starts working with Donny, she begins to do research for him. But while she is trying to help Donny find the secrets his family has hidden, she lives with fear that he will discover her secrets.

Once again Helen Hardt writes a story that is a mix of suspense intrigue and romance. More questions pop up as Callie Donnie answers Dale investigate the past, which opens up even more questions for every answer they find. Will Callie share her secrets with Donnie and how will he take it? Can Donnie finally open up to someone and trust his secrets and pain?

Perfect!!!

Oh, I loved this book! I'm not sure why this has been one of my faves for a while, but I think because we're digging back into the Steele family history, and I adore Donnie and Callie! Plus, I have to agree with HH that I'm loving these Pike girls. Really looking forward to Flame. These cliffs are killing me!!!!❤ The narrators did a fantastic job on this as well!!!!

Thrilling read

This series just keeps getting better! I have been wrapped up in the Steel family for years. I absolutely love the way the author is able to create a cohesive family with so many different personalities. I simply adore Donny Steel and Callie Pike! Just when you think you know all the Steel family secrets new ones literally come out of the woodwork. I can’t wait to see where all new new revelations take us in the next two books!!

Good continuation story, seemed too short.

Hopefully the next book will have more twists and turns, and perhaps more depth. Felt like a novella with a few hints. Narrators were good.

Running on fumes

I enjoy this series. look how many in the series I've read. the story line is getting a little less thriller and a lot more soft pork. I want to know more of the family story and less about the desire.
