Publisher's summary

A Gotrek Gurnisson novel.

Gotrek marches to war alongside his newfound kin, the Fyreslayers. Yet the Slayer's soul burns brightly enough to spark the interest of the Idoneth Deepkin....

Listen to it because....

Gotrek’s relationship with Maleneth and the Fyreslayers, and his unease with the unfamiliar Mortal Realms, make for a ripping yarn. Toss in his capacity for grievous violence, and an aelven enemy upon which to mete it, and you’ve got a recipe for a worthy entry in this classic series.

The Story:

Gotrek Gurnisson is the greatest Slayer of the age. He is a furious relic of a dead world, a sworn enemy of Chaos and a stranger in the Mortal Realms. Now, reborn and hungry for vengeance, he crosses the war-torn lands of Chamon armed with new oaths, pitting himself against the forces of evil.

Accompanied by the lethal aelven assassin Maleneth Witchblade, Gotrek marches to war with the Fyreslayers of the Grymm Peak Mountains, revelling in his newfound sense of purpose. The fire in the Slayer's soul has not gone unnoticed, however. Far beneath the sea, the Idoneth Deepkin are stirring, summoning an ancient power from the abyss—and their sights are set on Gotrek!

Written by Darius Hinks. Running time approx. 9 hrs 49 mins. Narrated by Jonathan Keeble.

Another good Gotrek novel

I like hearing stories from the Age of Sigmar that don't need to have to Stormcast Eternals all over it. it's good to see how the Idoneth Deepkin and Fyreslayers think and act.

Always solid

Gotrek novels are always solid and this one is no exception! I’m excited to see where the story goes next in Plagueslayer.

A worthy chapter of the Saga of Gotrek

I've been following this series for 19 books now, and over the course of 19 books Gotrek's story and himself have changed so naturally and so believably. Not even the shock of transitioning to the Age of Sigmar universe has dampened this opinion. If anything the change has lent it a level of gravity and momentum that I feel is all building towards something great.

It is my sincere hope that the Black Library continues this series, and continues his story. They have made me into a faithful reader, and a faithful devotee to the telling of Gotrek's saga.

Gotrek alright!

Fun! But the most interesting part is the talk about Thanquol and Nuln. The foreshadowing and building up for another skavenslayer book were the coolest part. Jonathan Keeble delivers awesome narrative as always!

Not enough Gotrek in Gotrek but otherwise good

I also hope Maleneth Witchblade lives. There's less Gotrek here than before but it gives a good understanding of Idoneth.

Gotrek belongs in the Mortal Realms

Another stellar performance by Johnathan Keeble. This novel and Gitslayer is the highlight of Gotrek's adventures in the AoS thus far. His interactions with his Duardin kin and his philosophy really shines through. This also brings a new aspect to his character that is really the core of his motivation in this new era. Its been a long time coming but this drive is what his story really needed.

Masterful character work and enjoyable wild ride

Another great installment in the new Gotrek saga with great character work, expertly narrated by Keeble as ever. Very enjoyable listen that expands on lore of the Idoneth and sets the stage for the next chapter of Gotrek as he continues to grow and mature into his new role in the greater world of the mortal realms.
