Publisher's summary

Sonic Warrior is a collection of insane-but-true stories from the career of rock radio legend Lou Brutus. Each chapter is a separate tale that careens around his 40-plus years of covering concerts, interviewing music's biggest stars, and influencing generations of radio listeners. Starting with the first show he attended and continuing to the present day, stops along the way include Live Aid in Philadelphia, the Arctic, Live Earth in London, and the New Jersey Turnpike.

Whether having his life energy drained through the palm of his hand by Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, watching cocaine get snorted off a stripper's ass in Pantera's dressing room, or drooling in his own lap after smoking some kind of mutant mind warp demon weed with Snoop Dogg, Brutus gives a hilariously unvarnished look at the realities of the music industry from his fly-on-the-wall, "I'm just the guy here to interview the band" vantage point. The book also features a foreword by his friend Corey Taylor, Grammy Award-winning singer for Slipknot and Stone Sour.

Love this book

I was hanging on every word of each chapter. I think it was so much more enjoyable to hear Lou's story in his words. I will certainly be listening to again and again.

GIANT ROCK STARS/GIANT STORIES

Every giant rockstar is represented in a ridiculously personal and amazingly ridiculous but true story. EVERY rockstar.
Lou Brutus is the Forrest Gump of Rock n Roll. He has taken part in every great event in rock-n-roll history.
These stories give you insight into these artists you can NOT get anywhere else.
Ever want to know what a particular rockstar is REALLY like? Here you go....

Extraordinary Tales of the Music World

I have been a huge Lou Brutus fan for many years and looked forward to this book. I was so entertained by his life, his misadventures and other stories. The book is well written and flows wonderfully. I had several moments where I laughed out loud, even tearing up from my giggles. I am so jealous of his musician list wishing I could be a part of his world. His voice is relaxing and holds my attention. I could not stop listening once I started.

Listen to Lou!

Lou makes a great narrator of his book. Listening to this was as though Lou was right next to me sharing his stories. They are awesome. I'm pretty sure he could do a second book!

Here's a penny for your KISS pinball machine Lou..

If you enjoy listening to the stories Lou tells during HardDrive Radio you'll surely be engulfed by the episodes he tells of some of his favorite happenings. I'm enjoying the audiobook even more I believe because it's coming not only from Lou's head and heart but also from his own mouth. If you know who Lou is and you're a true music lover like me then you got to read this book.
