Publisher's summary

Lady Isabella Porter and Lord Gerard Malden have known each other since they were children. Isabella thinks of Gerard as someone who teased her unmercifully and made her feel inadequate as a young girl. But Gerard has loved Isabella for many years.

A sudden, fierce snowstorm and misplaced notes informing both of a change of plan mean Isabella and Gerard are forced to spend the Christmas holidays together in very unusual circumstances.

Gerard realizes he must use the time he's been given with Isabella to change the opinions she formed as a girl so she may look upon him with favor and, if he is fortunate, lasting affection.

A great holiday listen!

This was a quick and enjoyable holiday story to listen to. Snug un a Snowstorm was short and sweet and the narrator did a wonderful job.

Snowed in at Christmas

Snug in a Snowstorm is a short, sweet, regency romance set at Christmastime. It’s a good choice during the busy holidays when you only have a couple of hours. I thought the narrator read a little slowly, so I listened at 1.5 speed on my kindle.

I was disappointed

I guess the story was fine. The narrator was distracting. This is not too long, however< I stopped listening and read. Finally, I finished this .

Historical romance well done!

I really enjoyed this seasonal historical romance; the characters were fresh and lively. The narrator did a wonderful job with the language and speech of 19th-century Britain. I appreciated the history the author put at the end of the book to add context for the reader as to the weather at the time this book took place. Most difficult winter in years.

Clean regency

This book was pretty cute. I think I would have liked it better had I read it instead. The narrator isn’t my favorite.

It was a beautiful short listen...

Snug In A Snowstorm was a beautiful short read/listen that tells the story of Lady Isabella and Lord Gerard. It was enjoyable and rich in detail for its Historical period. However, at times it felt a bit too modern/contemporary (I mean, just because they are in an unusual situation, I don't think they'd really throw away all property).

A heartwarming Christmas story

It was a simple, heartwarming Christmas story. Definitely, some of the things the characters had to do blurred social lines a little bit but I’m actually glad for it because of the winter circumstances they found themselves in.

(3.5 stars) - a cozy Christmas Regency tale

Occasionally anachronistic, and Isabella is a bit of a marysue, but it's a sweet story of how childhood frenemy Gerard tries to win over Isabella - and succeeds with a little help from Mother Nature!

*Clean romance level: sweet kisses

[The narrator's voice for the different characters is well done. There's a sing-song quality to her voice that is different but not unpleasant - it just took a little getting used to]
