Loved it

Loved it. I have been to that RT convention and it is just as described. Poor Luke. This is an awesome listen. Narrator is wonderful

Very interesting story

I am surprised that there isn’t a real bad guy. It’s more of a romance without suspense. The difference between these early books and the later ones is interesting, especially on how they recognize their life mates and complications from sex. But since I didn’t read the series in order it makes it interesting to see how those two things developed in the author’s mind.

I love Lindsey Sands, so ..

I was surprised I couldn't get into the story easily. I was less impressed with this story because the main character was so surly. I couldn't find myself liking him. It was difficult believing someone, anyone, could find him irresistible enough to want to spend eternity with such a curmudgeon. The author is amazing, so I still would recommend any book she writes, but, for me, it wasn't knocked out of the park.

New narrator

I love the story but listened years ago and there was a different narrator. I’m not a fan of the new narrator

My Favorite in the Series.

This is actually the book that introduced me to the series (I had to go back and read the first two afterward). I love Lucern and Kate as a couple. I thought they had a ton of chemistry and I could not wait to listen to this again with a new narrator...but that was the problem for me. I still have the original Audiobook and I think the narrator there was much better. The male voices with this narrator and not the good and kind of messed up the listening experience for me. Other than that, I still love the book and the series!

A satisfying read!

I’ve listed to the series now 3 times and have greatly enjoyed each story, but this one is truly my favorite! The humor, character development and plot are masterful! The story had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I live a very busy life with an extremely stressful job. Lynsay, your books provide a delectable escape! Thank you for being such a wonderful author!

So Much Fun!

I loved this book. This was a pig in a poke for me. I've shied away from vampire novels because the concept of characters who play with their food or else have relationships complicated by the desire to consume each other as a meal has always seemed off-putting. I was delighted, however, with the authors ammendments to the vampire mythology and the way she used the concept for truly inventive and delightfully funny scenes. Loved the characters! Also truly loved the narrator. Her acting was superb. Her voices and accents were excellent. It was lively and thoroughly enjoyable, without a single glitch or technical issue to mar her performance. Well done all around!

At least she’s grown as an author

Inconsistencies left and right from the other books in the series. When bigotry came into play, I had to DNF. I’m kinda surprised because I really like her newer stuff… but this gave me the ick.
