In Your Brain Is a Time Machine, brain researcher and best-selling author Dean Buonomano draws on evolutionary biology, physics, and philosophy to present his influential theory of how we tell and perceive time. The human brain, he argues, is a complex system that not only tells time but creates it; it constructs our sense of chronological flow and enables "mental time travel" - simulations of future and past events.

I'm rethinking reality...
This audiobook really opened my eyes to the whole simulation theory thing. It's laid out in a way that's easy to grasp, even for someone who's not a science whiz. Makes you look at the world a bit differently, wondering if we're all just part of a big digital game... Definitely worth a listen for anyone who likes their mind blown.

Wonderfully crafted and well executed piece of art
Simulation theory is a go to right now without delay. This author intelligently explains and bridges the gap between the virtual and reality and how this can help bring us into context with the life we live in today's world. This is a much listen book and so nicely recited that once one starts listening there is no room to stop.

got me hooked from the start!
This audiobook dives deep into the whole tangled mess of our existence. It covers philosophy, science, and pop culture, taking you on a super interesting trip where it takes apart what reality is. It's awesome at explaining tricky stuff in a simple way for newbies but still drops some serious knowledge bombs for those who already know a bit. It connects Elon Musk's cool ideas with mind-blowing quantum physics discoveries, making a super cool mash-up of mind-bending arguments that'll keep you thinking way after you've finished listening. I like this cool journey that messes with your thoughts and makes you want to peek behind the curtain of what we think is real.

Intriguing and informative to listen!
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, as it is a subject that greatly interests me. Being a huge fan of the Matrix films, I naturally wanted to know more about the hypothesis of simulation theory. This is why I decided to listen the book, and I was not disappointed by its content, as I now know more that ever before! I like how the book is written with beginners in mind, as this subject can get quite scientific, but I could easily follow all of it. The chapters I enjoyed the most were Technology and Simulations, the science behind simulating theory, and popular culture. The scientific explanations are a goldmine for uncovering the theory as a whole, and I am happy I know the fundamentals, as this has given me a much better understanding. Overall, a very interesting and beginner-friendly audiobook.

I recently had the pleasure of listening to "Simulation Theory for Beginners," and I must say, it's a truly enlightening experience. As someone who's always been curious about the mysteries of the universe and the nature of reality, this audiobook served as a perfect introduction to the complex world of simulation theory.
The narrator's voice is both engaging and soothing, making the potentially challenging subject matter approachable for listeners of all backgrounds. The explanations are clear, concise, and thought-provoking, breaking down complex ideas into digestible segments. What I particularly loved was how the book intertwines philosophical perspectives with scientific theories, making you ponder the very fabric of our existence.
The production quality of the audiobook is top-notch, with crisp and clear audio that makes listening a pleasure, whether on a quiet evening at home or during a bustling commute. The pacing is perfect, with each chapter logically flowing into the next, building up your understanding layer by layer.
One of the highlights for me was the exploration of historical and contemporary views on simulation theory. The book doesn't just throw facts and theories at you; it takes you on a journey through the minds of great thinkers and scientists, giving context and depth to each concept discussed.
