Great listen, have a pen handy you'll want to takes notes.

The book was full of quotes from some of the most influential people in all of sports. The closing chapter and his outward appreciation, for everyone involved, seemed incredibly genuine and heartfelt.

Leadership Gold!

While this book isn't really a story, and the narrative is a disjointed collection of leadership lessons, I took several pages of notes as I listened. The advice from the 20 athletic leaders Smith has studied and interviewed are essential to lead others. This book is full of leadership gold!

The advice is priceless

I’ve watched Marty many times on college game, and NASCAR and thoroughly enjoyed his segment’s. This book is full of so much useful information and advice, being a father as well I found so many instances where what many of the people said I’ve told my boys. It’s definitely worth reading/listening to in, in fact I bought 3 copies of it for some people I know. Many would get use out of it, as sometimes we tend to get so involved in “life” we forget the struggle, and hurdles we’ve had to overcome.

Poor choice for the audiobook format

Agree with the previous review. Heard the author on the radio show Kale & Company in NH. Downloaded it to listen with my son.

A book seemingly filled with short paragraphs and mostly quotes for at least the first 2 hours. Can’t comment beyond that as it is taxing to listen to as after each sentence the attributes are read (none of the original coaches are narrating the text)

It translates to audiobook poorly. Perhaps the paperback would be a different experience.

Had High Expectations - For Me it Fell Flat

I felt there were too many regurgitations of quotes. Overall, for me the the topics were too superficial. I was really looking forward to this listen and unfortunately was left disappointed.
