Her baby is missing. She shouldn’t have trusted a stranger....

When Ellen arrives at the Land’s Edge Bed and Breakfast with her baby and the man pretending to be her husband, she thinks she’s escaped her tortured past.

But when her baby disappears two days later, a desperate search quickly involves the police, who become suspicious about her strained relationship with her “husband”.

Daniel thought he was doing the right thing by helping the frantic woman and her baby and pretending she was his wife. The fact that he had ulterior motives was irrelevant, but the missing baby draws him into a deepening mystery with so many twists and turns, it makes his head spin.

Who is Ellen and what is she running from? Did a monster from her past finally catch up with her and her child, or is there another suspect lurking in the shadows?

When the truth finally surfaces, no one will be safe from the fall-out....

A thrilling psychological thriller that you won't be able to put down!

Good Story telling

There were a few rough spots in the story, without a good transition, overall a good thriller though!

What in the heck ...

Okay, let’s start with the narrator. A very odd voice in my humble opinion and did not fit the character that he was portraying. And then when the female voice was supposed to be speaking I sometimes found it hard to tell whether it was the male or the female. I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review in any of the 3000 or more titles in my library, but this book was just strange on so many levels. Half the time Baby was a girl and half the time a boy. I just did not like this book. Maybe it was just me, but I want my money back.

She's Missing

What a weird story.I didn't really like it,but I wanted to know what happened to 'baby''.Neither main character was likable.Baby didn't have a name ,or a gender it seems. It was truely unbelievable and oddly told.Narration by Michael Tucker was good.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

Man, what a ride.

I was given this free audio copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. And, honestly, this was a phenomenal read. I can't wait to see more by Mr Baxter, and liten to more narrated by Michael Tucker. His narration added a solid quality to the book that really helped to draw you in. This was a very unpredictable guess a minute, and when he wrapped it up, he did it with the finesse of a department store professional Christmas gift wrapper, complete with a happy ending bough on the top. This was a great summer read for sure. Mr Tucker's handling of the emotions, and characters in the book were smooth and very easy to follow. The only thing, that might have detracted, just a small bit, if even at all, was the reference to the baby in the book. It was a he sometimes, and her others, but again. That might have just been the way it played into the story. It didn't draw or detract fron it hardly at all, just a tad confusing, but it gave the story that shifting quality that helped suspend your belief. Good job Mr Baxter and Mr Tucker. You guys make a great team. I want to see more.
