I have read several books by Katie and this is the one that I can say"I get it!". Now I just examine my thoughts the way Katie teaches and I have no (real) problems/stress.
I just listened to this for the second time. I discovered The Work about 14 months ago, and credit it with setting the foundation for some wonderful changes I've made in my life. I realized how my thoughts were causing me so much pain. The question, "who would you be without this thought?" is so powerful. I am more loving to myself and everyone in my life. I have peace and clarity, and I am so grateful for Byron Katie!

Anyone with a stronger voice and no lisp.
I can't get past her etherial voice, she comes across as very fake. Her lisp makes this incredibly difficult to listen too. I'm disappointed to have wasted my credits on this one.
I've listened at least 3 times now. Love Katie's style and the content is life changing
"Simple but effective for reducing anxiety & stress"
I've heard many thought leaders and spiritual figures mention the Work of Byron Katie before but I've never read any of her books or come across her work, which is in essence 4 questions.
The 4 questions allow us to question our hurtful/stressful thoughts, reduce anxiety and stress in our lives, give us clarity and happiness and to let us live in a state of love for ourselves and others.
Although it's just 4 questions, don't let the simplification put you off, it's pretty powerful stuff. You will need to be open minded as there are many times our egos would reject these principles to protect the validity of our thoughts and feelings.
There are a quite a few different examples throughout the book which show how to apply the 'work' in practical situations.
The audio book is well read and logically laid out. I suppose I wish it was a little bit longer but I'm sure that Katie would say it's exactly the right length!
I'll definitely listen to/read more of her work.
As a self improvement Coach and being recommended this I was looking forward to it.
Must admit he first 45mins or so I got lost/lost interest but then it picked up/ think the live worked helped and really gave some great insights for working with people and their thoughts
