Extreme success, by definition, lies beyond the realm of normal action. If you want to achieve extreme success, you can’t operate like everybody else and settle for mediocrity. You need to remove luck and chance from your business equation, and lock in massive success. The 10X Rule shows you how! Success is your duty, obligation and responsibility, and this audio book gives you step-by-step guidance on how to achieve phenomenal success for yourself!
With The 10X Rule , you’ll learn to establish the amount of effort needed to guarantee success and ensure that you can continue operating at this level throughout your life. Most people desire success and have great ideas but they come up short on the amount of action required to get their lives to the exceptional levels they deserve. Four degrees of action exist, and in order to achieve your dreams, you must learn to operate at the fourth degree of action: Massive Action. The 10X Rule will dissolve fear, increase your belief in yourself, eliminate procrastination, and provide you with an overwhelming sense of purpose. The 10X Rule compels you to separate yourself from everyone else in the market—and you do that by doing what others refuse to do. Stop thinking in terms of basic needs, and start aiming for abundance—in all areas of your life. The 10X Rule guides you toward the frame of mind that all successful people share. Aim ten times higher than you are right now—and if you come up short, you’ll still find yourself further along than if you had maintained your life’s current status quo. The 10X Rule teaches you how to:

I'm only 1/2 way through but wanted to write a quick note to shed some light on the negative reviews.
This book is not necessarily a how to. At least not so far. What this book is, is a reminder that if you think you are working hard enough, you're not. If you believe you're thinking big enough, you're not. If you feel you have have reached your full potential, you haven't.
I am already finding the 10x mindset chipping away at my "normal" life and showing improvements.
I do recommend listening to this at 2x speed (if you can handle it). As some people have complained, there isn't a lot of new stuff here. But at 2x it's like having a personal instructor trying to motivate you.
This book isn't going tell you there is an easy way out. It IS going to tell you that it's your duty to be successful and to get your butt in gear. Being successful takes effort.
I'm really glad I didn't listen to the naysayers. Sometimes we don't need new strategies, we only need a jolt to wake up and take action.
Hope this helps someone.
Classics, history, historical fiction, marketing, Napoleonic stuff and of course 'Boys own Adventure'. This is my bent. Occasional self help as well.
He is very motivational. He believes you have to not only take your level of participation to the next step, but ten steps higher. This can become a little over the top after a while.
More cross referencing to other situations, industries, life experiences.
Not a bad motivational book which you can't argue with, but take it on small dosages and you'll get more from it.
When I was young my father took me to Baja California. There I tasted what a taco really was and I've never forgotten. Listening to the author read this book was like that.
The fast food taco was like all all those inspirational books that I had read before: no flavor and no spices. Grant Cardone put the inspiration back in inspirational thinking by giving me the tools and his experience; enough of his experience to know that I can do it too.

The book seems to be the brain dump of salesman who works in some high-pressure sales industry. The author reads in the same tone that he would conduct a meeting with junior sales people and the content is a continuous stream of motivational platitudes. There may be people that find this valuable but if you are considering the book because of a recommendation based on Peter Thiel's book Zero to One (or another book like it), you will be disappointed.
I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. It is motivational...surprise, that's what he does. There is nothing revolutionary in this book. The premise is simple. Work hard...10x harder than everyone else around you and you will dominate them. The argument has it's flaws as he suggests doing nothing is just as much work as working 10x harder. That part didn't make sense to me. However the book got me excited and motivated to set better goals and work harder to reach those outrageous goals. I liked it but didn't love it. Also, his pronunciation of some words does get annoying. Impartent is not a word...
If you need a shot in the arm or a kick in the butt...listen to it. If you are looking for something new, skip it.
This book lacked substance! He continually rants and reminds me of the proverbial snake oil salesman. For example, one of his big breakthrough thoughts is that if you work harder you will accomplish more. Of course this is true, but it is not the basis for an entire book. Sorry I gave away the plot. He advises to just say yes to everything without forward thought. I find people who live this approach only add complexity to your lives and usually accomplish less. I find that successful people do exactly the opposite. Successful people eliminate complexity and distractions from their life and have extreme focus on their unique capabilities. Grant might be entertaining to some people, but many of his concepts are dangerous. I am sorry I wasted my time listening to this book.
it is in my top five. I have listened to it a couple of times and will re-listen several more.
Stop thinking about it and do it!!!
The presentation was excellent and motivating but the material has been done just to many times.
Motivational - fast pace
This is entry level sales - so maybe that's were I'd start
Grant Cardone is an excellent presenter and he can probably sell anything he wanted
Maybe. He is good at motivation but lacks a bit on substance.
Ok. Nothing special.
This book is basic and really does not tell you anything new or that is not obvious. However, hearing the obvious sometimes is necessary as few people do what is obvious. The book is useful in reinforcing some very basic concepts that if followed, will lead to better results. Key point of his book which I sincerely believe is true is the concept of action. Action Action Action is the key to almost any strategy in life. I recommend listening to this if you need some motivation to act. I admire Cardone's action attitude as it is what drives results in almost any area of life.
The way he narrates this book is genius. Cardone does not hold back and makes sure he is in your face about his message. I really enjoy that it feel as if he is talking directly to the listener. Even though I have yet to read the book, it really seemed as if he expanded from the ideas that he had originally written down on the book itself.
"changed my vision for ever."
powerful stuff with all the energy of the man himself. if you have seen Grant Cardone on video then you will know what to expect. awesome.
"MUST read for anyone serious about business"
The detail, the way Grant gets you to open your eyes and realise the way people think.
Learning the 10X rule.
Every dam page sentance and chapter.
The book as a whole builds up chapter by chapter, each page gets your blood pumping.
"Great for anyone in Sales"
This will definitely be staying in my library. Brilliant book and Grant has a great style to his narration. Lots of additional content not found in the book as well. Definitely recommended.
Read it according to Grants instructions, in the shortest time frame you can manage then go back and listen again. Keep listening until it's second nature.
"A poor version of Tony Robbins"
I felt shouted at by the author (who also narrates this audio book). There was a lot of theory and not much real, practical help... other than do everything ten times more, longer, etc than others. It's the statement that begins to grate within 30 minutes... just do everything ten times greater than previously and expect everything to take ten times longer and the challenges to be ten times greater. I kept listening, despite it getting harder and harder and finally gave up part way through the second CD. There was nothing new in this audio book for me.
I would have preferred a less 'shouty' narrator and someone who spoke at less than a breakneck speed.
"10X Everything Baby! Amazing audio!"
Grant Cardone tells it how it is!
A brilliant audio book narrated by GC packed full of incredible content.
"Success is your Duty, Obligation & Responsibility!" That's it in a nutshell. Buy this book!
"Wake up call"
Excellent book! This will change the way you approach business, if you're willing to take action!
If you're looking for something powerful to read to help you reach your goals this book is it. Period!
"OK but very shouty & very repetitive"
The audio was very shouty and very, very repetitive, at one stage I thought I had accidentally rewound it. I gave up half way through. Perhaps the rest of it as better!
"Instagram one liners and empty of any true insight"
A terrible waste of my time and money. Not a single new or insightful comment, full of one liners that offer nothing more than reading something banal like Instagram.
The are books written for those who need basic show and tell, or simplistic pronounced headliners.
It dictates that success is emulating this books facile mottos, without any evidence at all. It is unqualified and there are 10x better books and writing.
"He's a full on selling power house"
Grant is extremely passionate about the content, I've listened to sell or be sold in which he narrates the book in a simular way, you'd never believe he was actually reading the book to you, most of the time it feels like he's just talking to you or ranting, but that's what makes he's books so fun to listen to. I'd defiantly recommend to a friend as for a dull topic Grant makes it much more engaging.
Hell YES! As Grant might say.
Simular, good content and thoroughly engaging as always.
Not really, 10X really gives you all you need to know about getting out behind the rock and getting stuff done.
I think actually Sell or be Sold is a better book, take a look at that one also.
