Completely Changed My Perspective

I left my husband two months ago after years of being unhappy. He's a wonderful man but I felt that my needs weren't being met. I finally pushed him so far away that he broke and agreed that it's over. Hearing him say it caused me to take a long hard look in the mirror, so I began searching for a book to help me find the error of my ways. It's important for you to know that I am not religious, I am borderline feminist, workaholic and ofcourse a millennial. Although the cover of this book seemed outdated I went ahead and downloaded it along with five others in a panic to find some kind of help. As I listened tears began to fall and I felt my hardened heart soften toward my husband. I wish I had found this book years ago, but honestly...I may not have truly heard what the author was saying. Now, in my darkest moment I hope this revelation will help turn our soon to be dissolved marriage into a loving relationship. This book has completely changed my perspective and I have a newfound respect for my husband. Ladies, if you find yourself beating your head against the wall trying to communicate with your man I highly recommend this book. It's a tough horse pill to swallow, but I'm beyond grateful for the brutal honestly.

A must read/listen

I read this book in the first years of my marriage and my husband was so happy. The principles in this book work and is a win for couples. It truly is a book for feminist as it helps with the goal that every woman wants in a marriage.
I highly recommend this book and shared this with many other newly married ones.
I’ve been married over 20 years now and I just listed to this again. Still love it!

We all need to wake up

I use to think she had no idea what she was talking about. After listening to her for a couple of years, I now realize she knows so much much more than I can ever imagine. You always get more with niceness and why not give it to the ones you love more than you realize

Must-read for wives

Should be required reading for wives! Dr. Laura does not mince words or try to tiptoe around women’s feelings like most voices in our culture today. If you’re not ready to resolutely look at your behavior toward your husband and critique yourself, don’t read/listen to this book. But if you want to take control of your own attitudes and behaviors and grow toward becoming the wife God wants you to be, this is absolutely the book for you. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

Been listening to her show for 15 years, read PFC of marriage 8 years ago. Decided to read it again and read this one.

Awesome

This is a awesome book that addressed several of the issues that plagued our marriage for years. It gave us a new perspective on life and marriage that helped us tremendously. We highly recommend this book.

Must read for ALL Women - 100% right on the money!

Coming from a guys point of view this is absolutely right on! It definitely is hard for a guy to convey his feelings but somehow Laura has decoded exactly how it is. We're not just animals that want to have sex though we do want animalistically good sex with our life-long mate/btide. we do want to be the knight in shining armor and we do want to be close to our wives and this is how our physiology had been set up to feel this. For me I always want to be around my wife. I love her and she means the world to me and there is no one else I'd rather spend time with than her. She is the sexiest woman in the world - especially after 2 kids! I can also identify times were I have become uninspired and removed because my physical /animalistic need wasn't being taken care of. My wife noticed this and asked what was wrong and I just told her nothing - though I knew it was that I was feeling neglected and disconnected from her - I missed her yet my pride or fear of rejection wouldn't allow me to tell her "knowing" (supposing) that she was too tired to be my hot girlfriend and that she just wanted to be my wife. This is a good one for guys to help them understand themselves better and a Must for women so that they will know their men. Now I just have to figure out how to suggest this book to my wife.... ???

A Great Reminder to Play Fair

This is a great book for us ladies to remember to treat guys with the love and respect that they deserve. Dr Laura gives it to us straight in this book. It's easy to think in terms of what we want from our men. Oftentimes we may not realize how selfish we are being.

This book brings to attention masculine needs and reminds us to take them into consideration. Listen and save your relationship.

The no sugar coating non-girly approach to correct marriage problems. Men are so simple and yet we make them women in our minds. I love her no nonsense approach

Extreme humbling. I realized how much I have caused the chaos with my marriage issues when I blamed him for most of them.
