    "Owners Manual for your LIFE!"
Where does The Power rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best I have ever listened to

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Power?

You want to remember everything in this book!

What does Rhonda Byrne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It is presented in such an interesting way with sound effects and music.

What did you learn from The Power that you would use in your daily life?

I wonderful reminder of how important it is to be thankful for everything we already have. In so doing we open up to recieve more. Also what you put out into the world is what you will get back. Put out good feelings you will attract good. Put out negative feelings you will get back the same.

    Any additional comments?

I would hope everyone will read or at least listen to this book. It could change the future of our planet and our lives.

    "Absolutley Inspiring!"

If you loved "The Secret" you will love this book! Thi book ranks in my top 10 of self help/motivational books. Rhonda's soothing voice and aussie accent make it a win, unlike other good books with BAD narrators. Great!

    "Excellent!"

I loved this book... so much I have listened to it twice already. There is overlap from The Secret, but I like the way this book seems more focused, like a matured Secret. Get this book... if you pay attention, it may change you.

"Annoying voice and the theme is very dry"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. It's really hard to listen to her voice while focusing on another task... the book is very repetitive surrounding the same term "love is the power..." again and again...

Has The Power turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes. I saw the Secret movie and thought that was inspiring and interesting, but this is too much for me to listen to.

How could the performance have been better?

Be less repetitive. The guy's voice is alright, it's calm and slow. The author's voice is just annoying.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Nope. It's one small point exaggerated and expanded into a book.

    "One inane syllogism after another"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Having actual instructional steps in place rather than one redundant syllogism after another: "Feeling good is positive, and feeling bad is negative. Feeling good is love, and feeling negative is the opposite of love." The entire first hour is nothing but this idiotic parroting--it's ironically infuriating.

What could Rhonda Byrne have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Did Rhonda Byrne do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

    The performance was fine.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Frustration and irritation; the writing reminds me of children's educational programming.

    Any additional comments?

"Feeling good brings good things; feeling bad brings you bad things. Change the way you feel!" This on a loop for six hours, punctuated with out of context quotes about love. There you go.... this book in a nutshell. Save your credit.

    "Monotonous regurgitation of The Secret"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This audiobook was so disappointing. I loved The Secret but feel duped by the author as this is nothing more than a regurgitation of The Secret. Nothing new here! I can't listen to her say the same things over and over and OVER. Ugh

What could Rhonda Byrne have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

If she actually wrote something new. This is a way for Rhonda to replenish her bank account.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Power?

    The whole book is disappointing.

    Any additional comments?

    So disappointed!

"Essential knowledge for a happy life. Get it."

This recording is a like a strong tonic. You know its good for you - but the digestion is sometimes a little hard to take because it makes us face our own short-comings.

However, the contents are very inspirational and uplifting - and also practical (which is sometimes rare for this genre).

I recommend it to anyone, of any age. (I actually managed to play part of it to my teenage daughter in the car on the way to school - and she listened without complaint. Woo-hoo)

The contents are - excuse the pun - a powerful statement about how to live abundantly - and of course, uses Rhonda's previous work 'The Secret' as the basis - but this work is a big step beyond the Law of Attraction.

'The Power' she talks about is the power of love. OK I can hear you groan or scream. Yes, its true we hear the word LOVE way too much; but the author's sustained passion and commitment will convince you to re-evaluate your meaning of this ubiquitous noun.

The message of vibration, feelings, imagination, and gratitude has definitely improved my life. It reminds us that everything we do is important; everything. For this, I will be eternally grateful because it’s a message that I can take with me all day, every day, wherever I go, for the rest of my life.

Some reviewers have complained about Rhonda's speaking voice as having a weird manner and accent. Yes - I get that, but I am an Aussie so I'm used to it - but I can imagine how others might find it off-putting. (thanks goodness it is interspersed with a great male voice reading quotes)

Anyway, if you can push through this vocal barrier, I can assure you, the rewards are significant.

    "LOVE is all you need!"

If you LOVE everything and everybody in your life, don't read this book. I almost didn't get it because of the comments saying it is the same as The Secret. Same great sound effects, yes, but I think that those who make such a comment are really missing the point. When the student is ready, you know. This book allows you to take the next step. You get to see how you are creating your life if you listen with honest ears. Every detail! From there the choice is yours. Cheers.

"A real gem of a book"

I was inspired by the previous review to give a contrasting opinion!! I am a HUGE fan of the secret, so didn't hurry to buy this, as I thought it wouldn't offer anything new... but I was wrong!!! This book is fantastic! I feel inspired, and feel it is contributing to real change within me. I agree that her voice is a little grating (which I took to be her passion, as it IS read by the author), but even despite that I still love it, and will listen again for sure!

I even decided I wanted to buy the hardback book version, and went into town to purchase it... I locked my bike up in town, and noticed a second-hand shop I'd never noticed before. I popped in before going to the bookshop, and there, on top of a pile of books was a mint condition copy of the Power!! Law of Attraction at it's best.

    "Mixed Feelings"

There is no doubt that there is a lot of good and inspiring information in this book and if you havent heard any of it before I am sure may come as a revelation, However, I wish that I had just purchased either the kindle or hard copy of this as the narration is really irritating to say the least, all the sound effects are totally rediculous and really over the top its all like an advertisment for the latest blockbuster movie and this takes away from the words which are over dramatised by the narrator and then repeated
I think this detracts from the book and is rather off putting which is a shame, I may just purchase the kindle version and cut to the chase as the audible version is just distracting. Probably really good in hard copy

"The Real Secret to Personal Power"

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this. After reading The Secret and feeling slightly underwhelmed by its rather wishy-washy content I was not sure that the follow up was going to add much more to my life.

I must say that I was so surprised that The Power is much more focussed on the real techniques for changing your life. It is beautifully produced and highly empowering. In truth this is the secret that the prequel never got anywhere near approaching by any of its contributors. If you enjoy Jerry and Esther Hicks then this is probably a more concise version of their teachings from a slightly different perspective.

    I thoroughly recommend it!

    "Not what I expected."

I did not even have the POOOWER to listen this one to its end. I found "The secret" to be a beautiful masterpiece, but this one was not.

I had the feeling she was saying the same over and over again and it was not at all convincing. It sounded more like a "I need money book"

    Sorry ;(

    "annoying but average"

If you can get over the annoying voice that seems to speak at half speed (Rhonda Byrne trying to put drama in what really is an average book) you will be presented with some 'common sense' observations about life.
Having read The Secret you will actually NOT LEARN ANYTHING NEW..... just a fantastic marketing ploy to sell more books on the same subject.

    "Incredibly Uplifting"

The Secret took the world by storm, but many people found it very difficult to follow its principals. The Power distils these principals into easy practical steps that are easy to follow and for which I am very grateful. My only issue with Rhonda's vision of the world is what appears to be an uncritical view of consumerism rather than a more harmonious and balanced approach. She may also raise the hackles of some scientists with her ascertion about water having memory - this is not accepted by the majority although there is research which purports to support the idea. Thanks again Rhonda!

"The most important book you will ever listen to"

This is quite simply the best and most important book I have ever read. Rhonda Byrne follows on from her bestseller The Secret with this inspiring yet straightforward book, explaining the most powerful force in the universe and how you have it at your fingertips every moment of every day.
Through this book you can transform your life to enable you to be and live your true authentic self, to be, do or have whatever you want. Not just like that, you understand. Transforming your life means transforming the way you approach life and Rhonda explains this clearly and unequivocally.
If you are in any way into spiritual growth or self development, you will get this. If you have read, listened to or seen The Secret, you will get this. If you have a heart you will get this. One way or another you should get this.
