Any additional comments?

This book fits perfectly between the triangle of books
Crucial Conversations
Crucial Confrontations
Influencer
All publications by VitalSmarts who usually have about 5 authors per book and do their own research and corporate/institutional contracts.

VitalSmarts also produces audio companions to go with all three books, and this book on conflict management really bridges the gap between all three subject matters to blend influence, conversations, and situations into a situational work of art that could even save lives. I am someone who finds myself in a lot of confrontations and other conflicts, dealing with situations where I am drawn into the dogma of other people's lives, and where I have either a lot or no authority to have influence. And so these are resources that have been of huge impact to me and potentially has saved my life when I have faced situations where rape and/or assault as well as a potential shooting might not otherwise been avoided in a couple of circumstances.

Very practical and informative

I liked the structure and content of this audio book. This is my first audio book that's set up as a course. It can be sped up a little to save time and still be easy to listen to. There are great examples and great logic. I am only halfway through it and I already can't wait to go back and start over and work along with the included materials so I can take notes. I think the instructor is great!

Thankful

The skills I learned in this course are invaluable. From personal to professional relationships, I remind myself that 80% of conflicts have a win/win resolution. I remember to put myself in the others’ shoes and understand where they’re coming from and how to meet, or not meet, their expectations. I’m so thankful for this relatively new understanding of conflict as a positive in growth and achieving a win-win, vs. the old, and common thinking of win-loose. I listened to this course 1.5 years ago, and I still review and appreciate the notes I have. I hope to pass these skills along to everyone. This course is a standout I bring up in conversation regularly. Conflict is part of our existence toward growth and particularly challenging today. Please listen to/read this great course. Thank you, Dr. Dues, for sharing this information.

This book helped me in many areas

Not only did i learn to use the win win technique in most of my conflicts this book really helped my interpersonal skills. The only thing i wish was the the chapters to be a bit shorter. I feel the author takes extremely long to drive a point.
