If you're not daring to believe God for the impossible, you may be sleeping through some of the best parts of your Christian Life.
This book is not a Snuggie. The words on these pages will not go down like Ambien. I’m not writing to calm or coddle you. With God’s help, I intend to incite a riot in your mind. Trip your breakers and turn out the lights in your favorite hiding places of insecurity and fear. Then flip the switch back on so that God’s truth can illuminate the divine destiny that may have been lying dormant inside you for years.
In short, I’m out to activate your audacious faith. To inspire you to ask God for the impossible. And in the process, to reconnect you with your God-sized purpose and potential.

“Steven Furtick challenges all of us—from the missionary in the third world to the family in the suburbs—to believe God for the impossible and begin living a life of faith beyond the ordinary.” (Andy Stanley, senior pastor, North Point Community Church)
“I don’t know anyone better positioned to challenge you to rise above mundane living and embrace faith-filled audacity than Steven Furtick.” (Craig Groeschel, senior pastor, LifeChurch.tv)
“For too long Christians have embraced a miniscule vision of faith.… Steven Furtick reminds us that the God who accomplished the impossible through the great heroes of faith still desires to do the same through us today.” (Jentezen Franklin, senior pastor, Free Chapel)
Thought this was a great book. Read lots of reviews on other sites before i bought it. The people with the bad reviews seem to be people looking for anything to be negative about. Listened to the whole book and really have nothing bad to say about. Very good listen!!!
I haven't read a lot of Christian books but of the few that I have read this definitely is by far my favorite. In this book, Pastor Steven, gives the tools we need to have that audacious faith most Christians seek to have. If you allow it, this book will revolutionize the way you pray and teach you how to pray without fear. Since he's the narrator it give it the personal touch to the book which truly made a difference. It was like he was preaching only to me.
My goal is to read 52 books in 1 year! I read 33 last year!
No. Even though I love his enthusiasm, I do not like his writing style. He is a good speaker, but a weak writer.
I am a student and teacher, father and friend, and husband to the love of my life. I work for the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a Local Emergency Response Coordinator.
There is nothing like hearing the passion in the authors voice.
Faith is made for overcoming fear. Prayer is for stiring faith.
This book was inspiring and challenging. I will never see pryer as a vague religous duty again.Thank You Steven Furtick for being obedient and writting this God inspired work. It spoke directly to where I was and help me to climb to the next level of faith.
I was predisposed to love this book, primarily because over the years, Joshua's life and his battles have impacted me. It isn't so much the battles that I enjoy; primarily I'm awed by his faith. When I listened to this persons account of their life; speaking about how their faith opened doors; in the telling of the story, he too experienced 'Sun Stand Still' miracles. Yet, I didn't have the same degree of awe as I'd experienced when reading about Joshua's accounts. I suppose I wanted to hear more. Perhaps, I needed fuller descriptions. But, all in all; I cannot deny that, in his life he too experienced God's miracle working power.
This is a book that I will come back to time and time again. I love Steven Furtick's sermons and knew this would be a book worth getting. Highly recommended.
Loved the teaching offered by Steven Furtick. Pastor Steven is an anointed man of God!
Thank you God for men like Pastor Steven!
Steven Furtick follows in the great tradition of all the gifted, young vision-casting Christian leaders who have gone before him. He discovers ancient passages in the Bible that inspire him to greatness - and knows how to infectiously pass on his sense of wonder and excitement to others. Those who've never encountered these Bible passages will be exhilarated. Those who delighted with them years ago will find themselves reinvigorated and challenged to embrace - and by faith - act on them once again.
It reminded me that that God wants us to have great life. Not the ordinary 9 to 5; waiting to retire at 62 life. It's not an easy thing to live an extraordinary and fulfilled life, and God is with us but we must have an audacious faith.
His reading is alive.
It moved me to go after my big dreams!
I love the honesty Stephen Furtick has when he talks about anything and it still is true with his book.
Furtick talks about himself, his family, and many other people with different circumstances within this book. I can't choose a favorite but I like that his accountant guy is named Chunks. Then there is a man he mentions (I forgot his nickname) that was brought to Christ, then sent to jail. Furtick was worried about him and the man seemed happy that he could go to jail for the time he had to pay for crimes he committed so he could start a revival of Christ in the jailhouse.
Probably when Stephen talks about him in college and inviting everyone on his floor to come and eat his food, how quickly he ran out of food and how he had to keep up with this plan. His determination is fun and funny.
Yes, I listened to it in two parts so I practically did listen to it in one sitting.
Stephen Furtick has a way of telling a story that puts you in his shoes so you experience it with him. He doesn't stand in front of you preaching at you or behind you, he's with you.
