Great book, very helpful

loved it helped my relationship through a little rough patch! I will be recommending this for sure.

Ask the right questions.

In chapter six, asking the right questions. It's so important that every woman get down to the truth about a man before getting into a relationship with him. Steve did say, it’s rare that a man will lay out all of his baggage upfront. I like the way he laid out those 2 questions with the want to hear answers that most women fall for, that a man gives to make them-self look good. Most men play slick and give women what they want to hear. If a man really wants to be in a committed relationship with a woman, he wouldn’t hide anything. He would prove to her that she’s the one he really wants. I find that women, most of the times, become so anxious to be in a relationship with a man that she forgets to question him at all. Then at the end of the day, she’s able to answer all the questions herself from his actions.

I enjoyed this book it is very informative and answers alot of questions a woman would have about dating. I do recommend reading act like a lady think like a man first before listening tho.

Steve Harvey is like a dad to me. he's very knowledgeable and insightful. His delivery is firm but funny. I learned a lot as always.

For women of all ages

This book and the other one have helped me regain confidence to dare in my 30’s, and set standards for men. Don’t be scared of the honesty you will need when setting the standards Mr Harvey gives you here. Worthwhile men will live up to the standards you set for your treatment.

Worth it

I couldn't stop listening, SH is very straightforward and blunt about men while at the same time being respectful about women and highlights our strengths.

What did you like best about this story?

I learned alot about how men think. Listening to the book will enable to interact with men in the work place. In my workplace there are just a few men and I will put into practice what I learned in my professional and personal life.

Have you listened to any of Steve Harvey’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to any of his other performances but I have read Think like a lady and Act Think like a Man. I think it is important to read that book before listening to Straight Talk No Chaser.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did not have an extreme reaction. I just listened and evaluated and processed and took in what Mr Harvey was saying about how a man thinks. I do think however that the points made in the book relate alot to how Mr Harvey acts as a man and the keys to a successful relationship with him. However there are many points that I found useful and I will put them into play not just with men but with dealing with women as well.

Any additional comments?

I know there are lots of books for women on how to make relationships easier for them. I just wish that there was information for men on how to decipher women. Women are not as irrational as men think we are nor by myth as "emotional". Attention to detail is key to communicating with women. The one point that resonated with me is that women have to always offer the "cookie" for a man to care for her and in the end if the "cookie" is not available then that just gives a man cause to be mean disrespectful and discontented.
