Peggy and Pam were two desperately disorganized sisters. They started each day with the best of intentions, but they never made it because they were "Sidetracked Home Executives" caught in the disorder of misplaced priorities, half-completed chores, and undirected energies - two smart ladies who'd never used their heads when coping with their homes.
So, they analyzed their lives and set up a rotating card system that scheduled their chores on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. With a combination of the sympathy of a fellow former slob, and the firm resolution of a for-your-own-good mother, they tell listeners how they too can get organized.

While I enjoyed listening to the audiobook, and find the system to be a good idea in theory, it is only half as good as it could be without access to the Appendix, which is referenced several times. An accompanying PDF file would be most appreciated.
I found that the system taught in this book was updated to incorporate the new age of computers very well but I have been having trouble getting access to any of the "work sheets" or "lists" from the back of the book through their website.
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have listened to this...the sisters are a little quirky, and their advice is spot on. I have so enjoyed it!
This book is funny while providing some very helpful advice, but cannot access all the examples mentioned in book. it says that they should be available in my library but they are no where to be found. This book is a must read for those of us who are weary with so much on our plate, not knowing where or how to start moving toward organization. This book is such a wonderful resource, but I think I will trade it and buy the hard copy
sidetracked to organized

Pam Young and Peggy Jones's story and the system they developed to reform their lives from CHAOS (can't have anyone over syndrome) to comfort is excellent. I own the hard copy of this book, but I learn best by hearing. I found this book in this format both entertaining and informative.
The authors, because they shared their stories.
I didn't laugh or cry, but I learned a lot about origin of the management system taught in the book.
"Some genuinely helpful advice"
I found this book to full of good advice that I have successfully put into practice in my own life. I loved the tone of this book - the authors have been there and know your pain. Unlike other books of this kind where the author was born with a clipboard in one hand and a feather duster in the other, these ladies are just like me (worse actually!). They don't judge and they don't make you feel like a failure.
If you are suffering from CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome) then this is the audio book for you! We
"Hope for us all"
These ladies are not heartless perfectionists who bark advice from atop pristine pedestals. They have been there, down in the mud, crumbs and jam. Their advice is sound. In terms of a practical programme, The Flylady is more manageable and there are many references in this audiobook to appenices which, of couse, you cannot see. Definitely worth listening to for encouragement.
