Grounded in mindfulness and neuroscience, this pioneering book redefines discipline and outlines the five essential elements necessary for children to thrive: unconditional love, space to be themselves, mentorship, healthy boundaries, and mistakes that create learning and growth opportunities.

In this book you will also discover parenting practices such as setting limits with love, working with difficult emotions, and forgiveness and compassion meditations that place discipline within a context of mindfulness. This relationship-centered approach will restore your confidence as a parent and support your children in developing emotional intelligence, self-discipline, and resilience - qualities they need for living authentic and meaningful lives.

If you could sum up Mindful Discipline in three words, what would they be?

Wise, useful, relevant

How did the narrator detract from the book?

It sounds like the narration for this book was done by an emulator and not a real person. Very distracting and monotonous to listen to -- which is too bad since the content was excellent and important for parents.

the authors take the time to explain they are presenting best practices which means every parent can adapt their suggestions to specific situations, using the mindful parenting concept.
The strategies for using mindful disciplining are very well presented, and once the reader understands what being mindful implies, they will embrace this idea because it is about establishing firm, useful rules for your child, in a loving manner.
I loved listening to this book and the mindful practices were very much appreciated.

the book was tough to listen to. I had trouble starting alert while listening.

there was some basics on science, but it was more presented as fact instead of a topic for discussion. the points made are well researched and heavily repeated to help you remember.

this wasn't what I expected. not my speed, buy not bad either.

this was a tough one for me
