The average person has 70,000 thoughts every day, and many of those thoughts trigger a corresponding emotion. No wonder so many of us often feel like we're controlled by our emotions. Our lives would be much improved if we controlled them.
In Living Beyond Your Feelings, Joyce Meyer examines the gamut of feelings that human beings experience. She discusses the way that the brain processes and stores memories and thoughts, and then - emotion by emotion - she explains how we can manage our reactions to those emotions. By doing that, she gives the listerner a toolbox for managing the way we react to the onslaught of feelings that can wreak havoc on our lives.
In this audiobook, Meyer blends the wisdom of the Bible with the latest psychological research and discusses:

Definitely the narrator's voice drove me nuts (couldn't stand her accent) but the content of the audiobook was so good from the very beginning that I made it all the way through and was very glad I did.
Preferably the author...or anyone who doesn't have a harsh southern accent (or whatever kind Sandra does...not good at identifying what kind)
All of it! It was wonderful
So grateful this book is available on Audible
I would and already have recommended this book to others. It has definitely changed my own perception about how I react to situations and others
I really appreciate the fact that Joyce shares her own personal stories. This makes me hopeful and allows me to realize that everyone struggles! Listening to Joyce is like having your mother grab your hand and pull you out of the way of the oncoming car, tell you to be more careful, and then give you a big hug! I like her because she is real and honest people need to hear it straight out and she does it with just enough compassion.
This was the first time. I thought she did well and was very easy to understand.
I learned a different way to react to the people and situations around me. Also, that I can be strong but at the same time let God handle the justice and to focus on how I act and react and to change that.
I think this book is excellent for all types of personalities and religious or non-religious beliefs. You don't have to be a Christian to get something out of it but you may just end up being one after you read it!
Part time artist - Like to listen to audiobooks when I am working and creating.
The content of the book was good but the performance made it difficult to listen to could only listen for short periods at a time.
You are the sum of what you read!
In approximately the upper 20% of my 500+ audiobooks.
There is no memorable moment, however the overall common sense approach to controlling your feelings and why it s so important is stressed throughout the book.
It's too monotone. It can actually put me to sleep.
When we are obedient to God and really want to live beyond our feelings we can.
I'm a huge Joyce Meyer fan - have maybe 7-8 of her seminar teachings and 3-4 books. This is my first audiobook from her. Great, practical and inspired info that follows the bible very closely. The narrator leaves a lot to be desired - her tone of voice sounds like she is trying to explain a complicated subject to a room full of second graders. Still, the content in this book makes it worth putting up with the poor narration.
Very good book highly recommend it. I know some previous reviews had some negative comments about the narrator . Don't let it prevent you from buying it. I found the narrator excellent. I am very satisfied with the book - will listent to it again.
There is lot of good information in this book but the narration was horrible. I finish all of my books no matter what but this one, I have yet to finish. The narrator is so monotone, it is torture on the ears. Was very disappointing considering how much I adore listening and learning from Joyce Meyer. I think this one is best left a reader.
Its relevance. Thank you, this book is a healing tool
Anyone, her voice is squeaky, it definitely affects how long I am able to listen
