I can easily see myself listening to this at least once a week in the gym as a sort of reminder to stay on track to reaching my goals. My life is pretty hectic right now as I embark on the journey of self-employment and these tips will be a great help to keep me going. There are tons of great motivational texts out there and many of them are longer in duration, but I didn't find the short length of this book to be a problem at all. In fact, the list of tips was so vast and involved, I was actually glad that it had come to an end so I could ponder what I'd just listened to, then get back to my dvr. lol
So, don't be dismayed by the brief length. It's the perfect duration for those days when you just need a quick pick me up and you don't want to bother anyone else with your worried mind. Great job!
I picked out this book in the midst of a really stress time in my life - graduate school, starting a new job, and opportunities to travel. All of these are great things, but left me feeling helpless and overwhelmed. I'm a chronic procrastinator. This book offers great hands-on tips for dealing with procrastination, anxiety, and lack of motivation from many different angles. There's the practical - make a list and stick to it. There's also the gentle reminders - take time to talk with trusted friends. Thank-you for a great guide!
It is one of the top ones I have heard lately as far as self help books go. I thought it wasn't too complicated to understand.
There were no characters, as it is self-help.
Yes, he is a solid narrator. I feel that his delivery works well with the genre.
Get up and do something!
This book won't make you feel bad about how you behave. It will show you how to improve your attitude and get things done.
I've a terrible tendency to procrastinate, so I've been looking for some audio books to get me motivated and found this did the job nicely. Some people have mentioned they didn't like the voice of the reader and that it was monotone. Personally I really liked his voice, I found it quite soothing! Sometimes these self-help audio books can just sound too over the top and positive and that gets on my nerves! I listened to this in bed and his voice was relaxing.
The points are put across simply, and there are some good suggestions. Not everyone will want to follow every tip, but I personally have picked up on a few that I'll be following through with.
Easy to understand
The tips are simple to implement and use in your own life
Relaxing. Perfect to listen to as you go to sleep and wake up motivated for the day ahead.
Motivating. Just listening to it gives you the kick start you need to make some changes in your life however small.
It isn't very long. I'd like to see a longer version, perhaps divided into chapters revolving around different aspects of life.
Price. I chose this as my free book of the month. At full price I think it's slightly too expensive due to the length of the book. I'd snap it up if it was on special offer.
Its one of my first audio books, and its a really great way to get into the audio books. Listening to self help books while working is great to really get myself to thinking and be mindful.
Nothing yet, I need more!
Pretty okay. Kind of a nasally voice, but a professional speaker.
When he reminded me I am a speck of dust, on a speck of dust, spinning around the universe and I have a death sentence. It was funny that I felt really good about it.
Good listen. I am glad to be able to listen to these and work at the same time.

love audio books. I actually have several that I have completed. This book was great content. I can relate to all of it. I love my audio books while doing chorus or driving for hours.
If I was able to make my bed every morning and buy new clothes I wouldn't need this book. These are helpful little tips for normal people, not people with serious anxiety, stress, and depression.
