Great Book - refreshing and reminder

Great Book and it flowed well through all of the chapters. Quick refresher and tips to improve ones writing skill for personal and professional success.

Worthwhile But Not in Audio Form

The author does an excellent job of clarifying grammar errors in an entertaining way and with excellent tips to remember them by. However, this is something better done on paper that you can refer back to specific needs easily. The thought of listening to this every three months or so as some reviewers have suggested is not pleasurable to me.

Well, I learned that I've been using my semi-colons incorrectly.

The performance was fine, the listener must realize that this book is to inform not simply entertain.

Well I learned that some grammer rules really are style issues, and that consistancy is usually best.

Grammar Rocks

I love her playful style and common sense approach. For me, grammar isn’t about perfection. It’s about communication, desired impact, and being taken seriously.
This book will help every day writers do just that.

Good, Not Great

I think this one of the better grammar audiobooks. Too much antidotal information is the problem that I have with this book. I am in need of an audio grammar book that is simple and straightforward. I need a book without the fluff.

For instance, can a comma be used to join simple sentences: I came, I saw, I conquered. The answer is yes. She does the topical little girl thing: wax and wane. She does not directly attack the issue on point, wasting time and energy.

I'm glad I purchased this book. It was an excellent refresher guide that detailed down & dirty grammar style, usage, and other essential grammar elements. Well dine!

Grammar Girl teaches while entertaining. I listen to each book repeatedly, finding something new each time.
