Excellent, practical way to break barriers

I was skeptical when I first began to listen to this book but it soon took me by surprise with the ready and concise steps delivered without any coy restraint on how to change your perspective by going through the mental exercises for the listener to try.

Before I knew it I was taking notes, going back and listening again. The techniques DO work and they ARE simple. They author is a genius who was blessed with the ability to relate his concepts without fluff or pomp. Well delivered by the narrator. I've heard the author speak and he's quite charismatic but the narrator did an excellent job of reading the book for him. Have already recommended it to family, which takes a lot of nerve, so the techniques must work!

Better to read

I wish there was a Source for some of the pages he asks you to look at for reference. Not the best listening book. Better for reading

I've Studied This for years but still clueless...

I bought a muscle building book that uses NLP to get great workouts and quit scarfing and wanted to get a book from the source: Bandler.

I get the concepts better now but man would I like to have lunch with the author and have him explain it me in normal human language.

Modalities/Submodalities Anchoring.

I feel like I'm learning language for a military operation.

The book flew by though!

Excellent.

Very good maybe if it was updated ? It would be excellent

Very good maybe if it was updated ? It would be excellent. I also have the physical book. I am certain there are nuggets I can pull from this material. Some audible books are too long, those one could have been longer , with more specifics. Narrator was decent not great. Definitely check it out

Excellent advice on an NLP Introduction

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Great book for beginners that want quick changes to their problems in life.

What other book might you compare Get the Life You Want to and why?

There is no comparable book to this. It covers a myriad of quick fixes to problems in your life. If your problems were limited to sleep alone or weight loss alone, there are similar books of great value by Paul McKenna

Any additional comments?

Audible was a pain in the ass, trying to get this book converted to play on my mobile phone. Despite their attempt to supply all models of phones to be compatable with, i had one of the most common big sellers of Nokia, and it wasn't on their list. It caused great headaches. Have them mail you a CD, so you can rip it immediately to your computer hard drive, or bypass Audible sales completely. Too many headaches to buy a downloadable book.

Loved it

If you could sum up Get the Life You Want in three words, what would they be?

Positive spinning images

Any additional comments?

Loved the content. Some things seemed a little odd at first but as I tried them and saw them working, the author gained credibility and I felt quite helped by all he had to say. Glad it's on audible and enjoyed the narrator. He sounded and read the book as I imagined the author would do so.

Good subject, snarky narrator

I love this subject, but had a difficult time listening to it. The narrator sounded snarky and sarcastic to me. I thought I could tolerate him but I became very uncomfortable when the subject matter was serious or sensitive. He simply sounded insensitive, sarcastic or flippant. I just couldn't tolerate his narration. Perhaps I will buy the book in text.
