Hilarious and heartwarming
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to spend the next 5 1/2 hours chuckling to themselves and occasionally bursting out loud in laughter. If you have kids, want kids or just want to find out where Jim Gaffigan lives, this is the perfect audiobook.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jim Gaffigan gives a great performance. His comic timing as a reader and his witty grasp of irony do not fail to amuse and inform.
Have you listened to any of Jim Gaffigan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
If you have seen all of Jim Gaffigan's one hour specials as I have, you will recognize some of his jokes for a second time. However, rather then detracting from book the new context just serves to make the jokes funnier.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
If you could hear me listening to this audiobook (I'm not sure why you'd want to listen to me listen to an audiobook, but if you did) you'd hear mostly a constant chuckling and chortling punctuated by occasional bursts of loud laughter.

Very Funny
If you love Gaffigan, are a parent and need something to pass the time. .then get this book! With Gaffigan narrating it was like listening to his stand up but it's all about the kids and his struggles about being a father. I've heard some of this stuff before on his other standups but some of the material was new. You wont be disappointed!

Let those without fault cast the first stone
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Who among us is so self deceived, so wrapped up in their narrcissistic existence that they can no longer be moved or humored by the common events of life. Mr. Gafigan's talent for bringing those common events to light is a divine gift and while his own humility forbids his self endulgence down that road, he holds himself in reserve, saying just enough about a topic or event to find the humor and then moves on to the next item rather than milk a topic to death like so many "observation" comedians until the spark of humor is gone. As pointed earlier, if you cannot find a smile or a slight ah huh at these thoughts and ideas then I believe you have ceased to be human and have progressed into the abysmal creature you thought you should be. I would, without reservation, recommend this book to friends.
