This book has changed my life. It has led me through a journey closer to my God. It is truely a wonderful book!

What did you love best about Captivating?

I was left with a wonderful feeling of love-that I was loved -by Jesus, and no matter what, He loves me. So much love, warmth, and healing radiates from this book. I am going to listen to it again to allow more of the words and wisdom to "permeate my being"! I am not meaning to sound like a "new age guru", but this is a really positive book to listen to -well worth the time and money invested!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved listening to the personal experiences Stack shared.

What does John Eldredge and Stasi Eldredge bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They are both wonderful narrators, and bring a tremendous sense of realism and warmth!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to listen all at once, but do to time, I did take some breaks! I did listen to it all in one day, though, and will hopefully do the same again today!!!

Authors Do the Audio

I enjoyed listening to the authors read their own book. I could feel their passion and faith as they explain in detail the love God has for women.

Absolutely, every woman needs to know who they are in Christ, I have read it a couple of times, but the audio just spoke more clearly to me.

What about John Eldredge and Stasi Eldredge ’s performance did you like?

The fact that it was the authors reading the book made a huge difference

This book is life changing and helped me tremendously with issues I've dealt with ever since I was young.

Awaken Your Soul

This book not only explains why we are the way we are as females, but gives us the permission that the world does not, to BE WOMEN. This is NOT another How-To Guide on being a good Christian woman. This book eloquently fills the wounds in your heart with scripture, anecdotes and literary references and brings you to a sense of belonging and understanding of femininity. Read this, underline what stands out to you, then come back a year later and repeat with a different color pen. Give to all females in your life, young and old, married and single. Then give to the man in your life to open his heart to the essence of how you were created.

Are you a woman? If not, do you know any? Then this book is for you! I learned so much about myself from John and Stasi's open and honest discussion of the hearts of women, because so much of the wisdom they shared applies to every heart, male or female! I'm glad to have listened to this book, and I'm legitimately about to go in for round 2! If you have not read this book, you will most likely be very glad you did. It may even transform some of your relationships for the better.
