Personal Organizing Coach Marin Rose argues that we're all in a toxic relationship with our stuff and that we've got some serious thinking to do before we can expect to make lasting, positive change. In this book, she explores the common emotional barriers to people reducing consumption and ownership, from personal feelings of anxiety, guilt, and regret, to our faith in the omnipresent American illusion that stuff is a direct path to happiness.
Marin guides us in a thorough examination of our individual priorities and goals, and helps us answer honestly to the self-deceptive thoughts that keep us beholden to clutter. If you're thinking about committing to organized living - to save time and money, reduce stress, and make space in your heart and home for the wonders yet to come - recognizing and working through these barriers are the first crucial steps.

I enjoyed the author's tone of voice and angle of approach to teaching for it demonstrated wisdom, understanding and non-judgement on her part. And, this is so much appreciated.
There were lots of helpful principles, probably too many to grasp in one listen. Therefore, rather than trying to "get it" all by listening, rewinding and listening again, I just let the audiobook play while I sometimes sat or laid stil. Other times I went on doing other chores while allowing my subconcious to do the understanding, without worrying about grasping every word or teaching consciously.
I am now ready to go listen again (and again). After all, it has been said that repetition is the key to mastery. Most importantly, I am now receiving simple and practical solutions from my subconcious that I am about to go implement today, while theese solutions are fresh in my conscious mind.
I don't know if I could have, prior to listening to this audiobook, come up with these solutions on my own. This is why I am saying this audiobook is awesomely useful!
Thank you for writing this book. I thought it might be too short to have an impact on me but it delivered a clear and concise message! Like its message, this book is clutter free and showed me less IS MORE with a delivery that was compassionate and gentle.
It rocks and I started decluttering quilt free immediately.
