God has dreams - just for you. Becoming Myself is a hope-filled audiobook for anyone who wonders if her life will ever change - if she will ever change. In Stasi Eldredge’s most intimate work yet, she shares her own struggles with self-worth, addiction, and her past as she shows listeners how God is faithfully bringing us to a life of freedom and wholeness. God desires to restore us, and he is able to restore us - the real us. As he heals our inner life he calls us to "rise to the occasion" of our lives. The most important journey any woman can take is the one into becoming her true self through the love of God. It’s a beautiful paradox: The more God’s you become, the more yourself you become - the woman he had in mind when he thought of you before the creation of the world.

What I Love : family and friends, moments, grace, honesty, passion, bravery, and change.
Stasi really speaks from her heart and body to women. It was real and honest. I loved this book and suggest it to all women! I actually related very well to her.
I haven't read the print version yet, but Stasi's passion and heart for her readers is crystal clear in her reading of Becoming....
Yes....I listened while working with constant pauses and interruptions so I listened again!! There is a powerful healing message in this book and I will listen again....
This book provided the encouragement I so needed right now. Staci does an excellent job reading and provides numerous exercises to take what she is talking about to a very active level. I found her easy to trust because of her personal stories she shares. She is real! Real about her sin, real about her feelings, real about how difficult life can sometimes be-yet she never leaves you there-she is constantly using Gods own words to encourage and lift up the downhearted. I was hanging on every last word/prayer she spoke.
For years I had thought that the only way to be a Godly woman was to sacrifice myself, my needs, and do everything for my family. Yes, that is some of it, yet it isn't about self-sacrifice as much as it is about self care to be able to do more for others. Thank you Stasi...My life forever changed.
The author read her own work excellently. She was understandable and easy to listen to. The material is not complicated and easily followed audibly
The workbook that accompanies it in paper. I did this book with a book club of close women.
This was not a true story, per-say. It is a self-help book with relationship information and the characters were not represented but discussed
Ms. Eldredge has a very straight-forward way about her and the times she relates the issues she had in her own life were the most affective.
Workbook is excellent and makes a great group book club selection.
How completely honest Stasi Eldredge is in this book, I thought I was the only one that felt the things that I feel, hang ups and all....I have never been able to relate so much to an author. Thank you Stasi!! What a blessing this book has been to my Christian woman walk :-)
No comparison :-)
The entire book had me realizing what and why I am struggling in various areas.
Life changing!!! - the right way .... Even the areas I'm not strong enough to do on my own, I love you Jesus!!! Thank you
Thank you Stasi Eldredge!! What a beautiful woman of God you are, through and through! Truly Spirit filled!!!

The beautiful thing about listening to author narrated books is that the reader - or listener, rather - gets to hear the significance behind every punctuation mark and line spacing. For that reason, I prefer to listen rather than read to "Becoming Myself," but those who read the book will finish it pleased.
This is not your ho-hum Christian book for women. No, Stasi gets very real with us as she tackles topics such as issues with our mothers, weight problems, friendships with other women (or the lack thereof), and more.
I was particularly moved by both "Our Mothers, Ourselves" chapters, "The Company of Women," and "Becoming Our True Name."
This book has done more for me as a woman - push all the hats I wear aside - than any other book I have read to date (next to the bible, of course). By zoning in on me as a woman, I am more efficient in my roles as wife, mother, friend, sister, daughter, and career girl. This book has truly been my tall glass of water in the dry heat of the summer season of my life. Now, I can confidently bask in the glow of who I am in the light of the Son's shine.
"Real, encouraging, uplifting (+warmly delivered)"
Real, encouraging, uplifting
Down-to-earth real openness and practical addressing of relevant issues. Also Stasi's delivery, her emphasis, her warmth.
Stasi comes across as a warm, compassionate individual who is passionate for the Lord.
No. Definitely need to hear in parts to let it sink in.
If you mean business with God and want to grow and know Him more and become what HE wants and has planned for you to be, what HE desires, then this book is definitely for you!
I cannot recommend this highly enough and am definitely going to buy the paperback and will give it to many friends.
