Becoming a Better You
At first I wasn't sure about this pastor. I thought he was to flowery. Now I have listened to his teachings and interviews and find his teaching a breathe of fresh air. He loves the lord and I believe he is very sincere in the faith. Most teachers teach the Bible at you. He teaches to encourage. Like Jesus did. I am a follower of Christ not man. But I choose to be lifted up when applying Gods Word to my life. We all know the Dont's and get stuck in that too much. Not "name it and claim it" but " Know Him and live in Victory". We as believers should be a little more open minded and not so judgemental. There is to much division in the Body of Christ.

This book is wonderful!
Joel is amazing, and he has the ability to share biblical principles in away that the average person can understand. He has also developed the ability to engage his audience. He has even managed to capture my attention, which is not easy!

Positive and affirming
This book is filled with ways to improve your day to day life by becoming accountable for who you are and how you interact with people. It also reminds you to affirm your own self worth. The ideas aren't revolutionary, just relevant and straight forward. It is a positive and thoughtful book.
