Very helpful, went through things I needed to learn. I will definitely be applying all she taught me. I love this book by Patti and I think mote matchmakers should make books
Clear, concise, executable; none sense free and you know what? I met THREE guys the first day I listened to the book after leaving the gym and heading to lunch. Seems to work!
I was disappointed in a positive way. The title made me think the book would be more gender neutral. I like Patti (Author) so don't want this to sound to negative. This book was written by a woman for women. FEMALES: If you are looking for a book that tells you step by step how to go from meeting a man to marriage, this is book is well written with lots of stories. MEN: Patti knows what she is talking about, for both men and women. The book is worth the read/listen to. Especially if you want to know that the other side is being taught. As a man I did get some ahha's, but had to pay attention because it was all aimed toward the female... Hope this helps.
I liked to read as a child and thanks to Audible, I'm able to multitask whilst enjoying 'Me Time' in the form of a good book.
I place it at # 4 on my top 10 list.
None. I make sure I don't purchase the same types of books.
The book was very informative and I have made a few changes in how I view possible situation.
Thanks Patti for sharing your information for the rest of us to use.
Her voice, literally and figuratively, were a joy. She's just a doll! And a hardass- love it! Dating detox began when I started the book on Friday. It's now Sunday and the book is done! But I'm ready to execute the best tips ever. Thank you, Patti!
This audiobook comes off as 'How to Manipulate a Guy into Having a Relationship with You.' There are a few good points but again the overall TONE is manipulation. I was open about Patti but after listening I question her validity on how to have an honest, open, and loving relationship with a significant other. It's like she doesn't get it. There's a MUCH better book out there it's this one - It's Just a F***ing Date, by Greg Behrendt and Amiira Ruotola. It's also on audible, and unlike Patti, it's apparent these two have learned lessons from the trenches and are in a committed and successful marriage. They are in love. Is that what you want? - Consider that other book then. In all fairness, Patti does actually perform the audiobook version remarkably well, which is a bit of a rarity for authors.
Being a mom, career woman & student (again) I don't have time to read and miss it. Driving to/from work/school is now fun thanks to audible!
Only to recall and refine what I heard as "tips" in the relationship department.
I liked learning about her background. However I'd rather learn more about the "how to's" of getting into a great relationship and keeping it fresh.
Haven't seen other books from Patti on audible. Would be nice to see if I'd like the other books. One has to remember that this book is written for the female audience. You really have to have an open mind when listening to this book. I think now that I'm much older I'm seeing what Patti shares is really great common sense advice. We girls miss it and I'm sorry this book wasn't out when I was first dating. I never got such great advice! :( However there's still time for me yet to apply what I've learned. lol Only time will tell if it worked...
