On Spiral Dynamics Integral, listeners will learn to master this vital method for unraveling the "complexity codes" of human psychology and transforming conflict into productive action.

I have been exposed to bits and pieces of Spiral Dynamics and even at one point tried to read the book co-authored by Don Beck, (but found it too heavy going). I have found this audio really excellent. It already has me thinking differently about all sorts of things, reacting differently to people and looking seriously at the way I work.
It has also left me feeling quite optimistic. Here at last is a way of looking at the enormous difficulties that face human kind all over the planet that can offer practically useful ways to get ourselves out of the mess we are.
It does however, require an openness of mind obviously not available to all its reviewers! Not everyone will be able to "get it" (as the theory itself suggests), but for those ready for it, this could be the first step in a profound change in thinking that will allow us to become part of the solution instead of remaining part of the problem.
If you are already familiar with the details of SDi this material can be an excellent complement. Conversely, if you are new to this subject it may appear boring and technical and you should start with the book or something else.
Don Beck is not the best narrator but provides very good examples and insights about Spiral Dynamics.
This book is truly remarkable. It looks at different ways of thinking about the world, from a self centered perspective to a global perspective, and clearly demonstrates how things evolve.
Just as we grow, adults aren't better adolescents who are not better than babies, the book uses the same approach to talk about society and consciousness. It talks about what comes after the Green Movement. Fascinating!
Practical and well conceived approach to managing world and local change for the better. I hope that leaders around the world read and then use the approach in this book.
Great model for interpreting the past and present and predict and guide the future of our world and human kind. A new paradigm on social and cultural behavior... Congratulations!!!
"Left me with a new paradigm, not a shift."
A Texan academic's narration of this series of his lectures, required me to have to listen hard. The pace of delivery had me hitting the 1.5 x speed button, but the accent does not take it.
The contents of these lectures are an excellent introduction to the subject, which is validated for me by the South African evidence.
Which should mean a Nobel prize, and probably explains why I had to listen to it several times, and will be buying the Kindle, as this deep subject may not be best presented in this format.
