I'm what some folks call, "extremely average."

Badly written and badly read. Nuff said. But I need 15 words, minimum... so how's the weather?

I was really excited about this book, as I like end of the world books and recently moved to St. Louis. Unfortunately I could not find one redeeming quality to this book. The story was terrible with a weak plot. It sounded like it was written by a high schooler with delusions of grandeur. Something goes wrong and then main characters are the magically saved. The story was also painfully short and it would probably only be the first couple chapters in a good zombie novel. Short version is save your money; I wish I had.

The writing is awful. I don't mind survivalist porn if that's what you want, but like fifty shades of grey this is written terribly and the protagonist is unbelievably perfect and awesome at everything despite being a 'normal' guy. I was driven nuts by paragraphs that went like this: "I saw the Item and decided it was a good item. I took the Item and used the item to do a thing that the item was good at." Does the author not know how to use pronouns? Even the narrator sounded like he was trying to get through it as painlessly as possible so he could collect his paycheck and go get drunk to forget the stupid.
