Fantastic

If you could sum up World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War in three words, what would they be?

Extremely Entertaining Lore

What other book might you compare World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War to and why?

World of Warcraft: Wolfheart (the previously released WoW Book) felt like it was there just for the sake of being there and thus pales in comparison. Tides of War fills such an important role in Warcraft Lore and is so well done you can only wish the game had this much detail. Having a female point of view makes Christie Golden's tones that much better.

What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?

Justine's voice matcher perfectly with the main character, Jaina, and made the book feel almost like it was being told by that character. This made the story that much more heartfelt when drama started.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Scorched Theramore Spawns Scorned Women.

Any additional comments?

I loved this book, it's absolutely essential for any players of Warcraft that want more than just a random button clicking game. Of all the books written to date on Warcraft, I've gotten the most from this one.

A good entry to the series.

Jaina's tragic moment in Warcraft history - when her own city-state is brought to ruin.

The trauma she experiences is well written in this novel, and if you play World of Warcraft and are on the Battle for Azeroth expansion this book will give insight into her present mindset - the catalyst of her present condition.

Good performance, good storytelling - overall it was worth the time and credit.

Better than I could ever imagine.

Would you consider the audio edition of World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War to be better than the print version?

Yes, I love to listen while working, it's like doing two things at once.

What did you like best about this story?

Oh my, this is a tough question, I really liked the whole story but but better understanding Jaina was well worth it.

Maybe if I had read it before spoilers?

Would you listen to World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War again? Why?

Yes. Because audiobooks are expensive, the narrator's voice isn't bad, and the story is good.

What other book might you compare World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War to and why?

None, really I haven't listened to any of the other Warcraft audio books.

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Audio books in general are great because you can do other things while "reading." it also allows you to focus more in the story than if you are a speedy reader like I am. Justine does an acceptable job as a narrator, and I would definitely listen to her work again.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

...no.

Any additional comments?

This is a fantastic companion novel for those who play World of Warcraft. I picked it up because I'm the leader of a role-playing guild on WoW and the lore in it is practically essential to being able to understand the scope of Garrosh's actions.

The story itself is good, the romance in it seemed vaguely forced, but I've never been a fan of that particular male character. The best parts to this horde player were the parts showing Baine and Vol'jin's unease with the entire situation. I most certainly will be buying an audio book version of the next novel when it is released.

Interesting WoW lore

Nice having some more narrative. Narrator did well despite the wide range of characters she had to voice. an ensemble cast would have been awesome, but still was an enjoyable experience.

Great story

it was a great listen only held back by the voice actor.
although she did a great job with tones she couldn't pull off male voices or even accents like those of the trolls.

Like transporting right into the game itself. Christie Golden truly does it justice and provides a stellar read through.

An awesome read of a great story

Listening to this story on the eve of the 4th expansion after it gave great insights into the character of Lady Jaina Proudmoore. Christie Golden has never let me down with her storytelling and her ability to capture the essence of a character
