Hell on Earth is real....
Hope. It's out there. Somewhere in the wasteland. But so are the remnants of humanity. Wasting survivors. Some desperate. Many dangerous.
Into this dying landscape an expedition makes its way. Seeking what they believe to be out there - the cure for the apocalyptic blight which has ravaged the world. To locate it they will have to endure the unimaginable. To bring it home they will have to survive hell on Earth.

Storyline gotten a lot better since the first book. Narrator also improved. Not bad overall. Was skeptic moving on from the first book. But turned out better than I thought. Story is great. More plausible action with real results. I like that the main crew can't always dodge every bullet. Keeps you on the edge.
Overall well done
The author is a very talented writer and I was impressed with his use of analogies when describing situations. This book also had a lot of interesting challenges that faced Fletch and Neil as they traveled. It kept the story interesting and on the edge of your seat at times.
I started with the first book a few months ago and thought it was good, but was gonna be a forgetful novel. As I was searching for more EOW novels or post apocalyptic novels I saw that there were 2 more in the series. I gave the second one a listen and was pleasantly surprised how good, and original it was. Well, when I finished the 3rd one I was like "holy crap" this is surprisingly great!!! I can't wait for the next one!!!!!
The story is among the best for this genre that I have read.
The narrator's voice, however, has a singsong tone affectation that is difficult to listen to. Over and over the same thing. High - low, high - low. The story is so good that sometimes I didn't notice. Other times it drove me nuts.
