The dragons are coming.
The Groln invasion is accelerating. Cities are blasted into smoking, bloody rubble. In the midst of carnage, consumed by guilt and temptation, Lirak struggles to learn the limits of his powers and the secrets of his past.
Even as the war rages to new heights of barbarity and slaughter, an ancient threat emerges, sending the gods themselves into panic and desperation. Lirak will need more than sorcery to survive.

spells are somewhat slow. And I just don't get the feeling of intense anticipation of what is going to happen in the book. I care but not like I do about kvothe or other fantasy masterpieces it good but not great
Story really opens up! And either the characters are becoming less whiny or the narrator is doing a better job! Looking forward to the conclusion!
spent my life in the Navy long missions. Loved reading but due to schedule listen now. I love sci-fi fantasy books from 15+20 or more.
Yes Brooke had a lot of fun Packed excitement
Standing up to the Gods and wizard war
Really good narrator
The two books Series so far has been fun and exciting
The books are worth the credits
I've really enjoyed this series. Narrator is good except for the voice of the main character. I can only describe it as kind of a nasally voice out of the back of his throat. It still isn't horrible except whenever the main character is upset it sounds really odd.
I bought this audible after a little over 2 hrs into the Warrior. very well written extremely descriptive with color and blinding intensity. David De Santos is no singer (no offense intended) but that makes the Little ditties (I hope there are more in Warlord) sung, more endearing. lovable Characters ominous Plot. Interesting Pantheistic concept. please hurry and finish Warlord, although I won't wait for the audible before I read it I will buy it when it's released.
This is a run-of-the-mill hero's journey sort of story, but a full star is deducted because of our protagonist's annoying girlfriend. She's a real drag on his development due to her overall neediness. In general, women are not represented well in this book; even the ones portrayed as warriors are emotionally unstable, and some of them, of course, are seductresses. I'm also skeptical the book would pass the "Bechdel test". My assumption was that the author is an old dude, and Googling on his name showed me this was true. Hopefully younger authors don't succumb to such stereotypes.
Story is solid. What I expected for a second book in a series. Good character development and a few new characters. Hopefully the Author wraps it up in third book.
The narration is excellent. This is only the second book I have heard by him (the first was the previous book in series. ) The first book took me a bit to get used to his style. By the end of that book I was a fan. I will be looking for more of his narrations.
"A good listen that you will enjoy"
it is not the most orginal, but it is well done . I well rounded story with lots of fun that you can easily loose yourself in
the quality of the writing, as i have said not the most original, but a great narrative
no heard him in any series before this, but the performance is good and enjoyable
i don't know, the awakening or something of that type
i really hope there is a part 3, this series does get under your skin
enjoyed the characters story moves at a reasonable pace. characters are interesting and ever evolving
"hurry up with book 3"
the voice changes for the main character too much for me but it's certainly minor
