Terrible Ending!

It is hard to follow along- I think reading this book would be better. I am going to give it a chance. I would skip betsy for something else for audio reasons, not for content. Don't get me wrong, the person reading it does a good job, but the problem is the following the book itself while it is being read out loud.

Not that bad...
I was almost afraid to get the new "Queen Betsy" based on what some of the reviewers said, but I went for it... had to see what was going to happen!
It was certainly not as bad as others made it out to be - Betsy is the same vampy gal in this book as she is in all the others - but I can't say that I found this as entertaining as the first several books. (What was up with Nick/Dick... I don't know why his name had to change...) :)
I think MaryJanice Davidson is building toward something interesting... but it's unfortunate that the story has lost some of the charm and fun that it had when we started.
I will keep reading/listening! PS: Nancy Wu does an outstanding job as always!!

Further departure
Davidson further changes her series in this novel, both in terms of some amusing retcons and tonal shifts. I’m really enjoying the newer direction, though some of the choices may take a while to feel quite right.

Queen versus Devil
Well… I didn’t live “the mark thing” it came out of nowhere and hope author will sort in future book. Added an entire star just for appendix which I intend to memorize!!! Too funny and good.

FUNNY Vampire Series
I love these Mary Janice Davidson books. Great characters, lots of laughs, totally different from the scary weird dark vampire and werewolf tales from other series. Highly Recommend if you want something light and fun.
