Author narrative everything is freaking awesome. I like to believe bones is based on spike from Buffy which is my fave. The plots never let me down the whole series !

A must read

I really enjoyed listening to the narrator. I've listened to all of the books in order and, so far, this is her best. She reads with so much expression. She makes the story really come alive.

OMG what’s next?

I realize some relationships have their ups and downs but for Cat and Bones, I found myself in this one saying come on. Enough is enough. I mean really don’t these two deserve a break. Which I suppose that is what J Frost wants us to feel? Frustration and exhilaration. Again if you enjoy this couple and all the characters in their world then this is another good installment.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tavia Gilbert does all the voices well but I especially love Bones' voice. She really knows how to 'read to us' so we feel like we are there.

Loved it!

Just loved it. The best so far. The narrator was fabulous. I got the book in my kindle too. It almost seem to be the last book. She closed everything up and we got to see some of her characters from previous books. The only one I felt needed a book was Vlad. I hope she continues the series.

Love love the Night Huntress series

Another excellent installment of the amazing romance of Cat and Bones. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys a strong female lead, humor, wit, a sweet love story all mixed up in the world of the paranormal. Spiced up with steamy love scenes, Jeaniene Frost hits all the right notes.

Loving Some Cat & Bones

No doubt about it. I love these books. They're fun, exciting, dangerous, sexy and hilarious. I love the way that Frost has her characters grow and mature. We see Cat struggling to change her beliefs and her behaviors. We see her and Bones working to make their relationship work and not upset one another.

By this book, Cat and Bones are secure in their relationship and we don't have them doubting each other or struggling to stay together. Now, they're settled in with each other and working as a team. I love watching Cat deal with her growing abilities and learning how to deal with things. And I absolutely loved seeing so much of Vlad. (Can't wait to get to his books.)

Gilbert's narration is very good and I've long since gotten past my aversion to the voice she uses for Bones.

I highly recommend these books for the pure pleasure felt when reading them.

Very addictive Series

Would you consider the audio edition of This Side of the Grave to be better than the print version?

You are drawn into the story immediately. Tavia Gilbert narrates this story with flare and the inflections in her voice makes you feel what is going on in the story. If you get a chance to listen to the series, the littlest hints are tied together in a very well woven story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bones and Cat --- Yum!

Have you listened to any of Tavia Gilbert’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to the series to date. She is consistent in the characters voice and personality.

A GHOSTLY GOOD STORY!

This one was good but not great...as Cat and Bones now face the entire ghoul race to avoid a war between their two races.

Ghouls are after Cat...most wanting to kill her to prevent another powerful ghoul from using Cat for his evil purposes. After visiting the ghoul queen of New Orleans for help to prevent war, Cat ends up wielding a ghostly power she doesn't fully understand.

There are some details that come up in here that Jeaniene Frost's other Night Huntress World books touch upon. It is best to read those first before starting this one, as it helps fill in the gaps. Realized this too late.

This book is still a good one and worth the credit. It is filled with many nail bitting scenes along with humorous ones that have you laughing out loud and the second best steamy one in the entire series! :)
