Publisher's summary

After 10 years and 13 adventures, at last the triumphant conclusion to Kim Harrison's number-one New York Times best-selling Hollows series!

In 2004, Kim Harrison made her debut with Dead Witch Walking, an electrifying urban audiobook novel full of action, mystery, romance, and humor, which introduced bounty hunter and witch Rachel Morgan. Over the course of 12 books, Rachel confronted numerous threats, vanquished a range of cunning and powerful enemies, risked her heart, suffered haunting loss, and nearly lost her life. Now, in The Witch with No Name, Kim Harrison brings back her wildly popular heroine for one final, epic battle.

Rachel Morgan's come a long way from the klutzy runner fleeing a bad job. She's faced vampires and werewolves, banshees, witches, and soul-eating demons. She's crossed worlds, channeled gods, and accepted her place as a day-walking demon. She's lost friends and lovers and family, and an old enemy has become something much more.

But power demands responsibility, and world-changers must always pay a price.

That time is now.

To save her best friend's soul and the rest of the living vampires, to keep the demonic ever-after and our own world from utter destruction at the hands of fanatics, Rachel Morgan will risk everything.

Thank you Kim Harrison for the memories!

Wow! What can I say? Kim Harrison did an extraordinary job at wrapping up her "Hollows" series. We finally find out the answers to so many questions that have been floating around for almost the entire series.
I really liked that Ivy is such a prevalent part of this book. She has really sacrificed a lot because of her love and friendship for Rachel. So it was nice to see some light come into her sometimes sad existence.
There is plenty of Trent in this book too. Which was GREAT! But one of the best parts of this book is the relationship between Al and his "itchy witch".
What a good book. I'm still wheeling. It's just that incredible. I wish other series I've read would have ended half this good.

Harrison knows how to wrap-up a series.

Have read or listened to this entire series, and I must say that it was well worth the time. Harrison created an alternate world full of demons, witches, elves and vampires, made it thoroughly engrossing with good times and bad. The books had times that we cried for characters lost, feared for the future, and laughed out loud. I grew close to this little family and will miss them all, Jinx's sense of humor, Newt's unpredictability, the mystery of Trent, and Al being my favorite with his arrogance and seemingly uncaring attitude.
This book ties up all the loose ends of the previous books, solves the dilemma of the demons, the soul searching of the vampires, and the future path for all the supes.
Rachel does find out where she fits in to the whole scheme of things, finally, with a satisfying close to the series. Thanks Kim.

What A Fantastic Book!!!

I have honestly loved this book, it is one of my favorites in this series. So many events so many twists so many changes.
Morgen was put into a tough spot, between a rock and a hard place and it felt like the world was against her. Demons, Elves, witches, werwolves, pixies and so on they all were involved and gosh how so many things happened here...

When i thought the book ended, it wasn't even close... I think Kim Harrison did a great job with this book and its ending was fantastic.

Loved it and loved this whole series .. Wonder if thats it or if there will be more of our lovely characters

Just Wow!

Ditto the previous comments - Loved everything about the book, the series, the narration ... just everything! I'm happy ... I'm sad... I need at least a couple of days to muse before I even think of starting another book ... just Wow!

A Fond Farewell

Any additional comments?

Thank you Kim Harrison and Marguerite Gavin! Over the years, I have come to love these characters and their stories. I never lost interest, as I have with so many other series. I'm so glad they ended perfectly and in character and while they were on top. Thank you for a completely satisfying ending. I can hardly wait to read what you bring us next.

A satisfying conclusion

Any additional comments?

I appreciate that Kim Harrison elected to wind this series down before it could get too stale. This is a satisfying conclusion to the series, and wraps up many loose ends very conveniently. I don't think it's POSSIBLE to write a perfect ending for an entire cast of characters, but I think that this book comes as close as possible. I hope to catch glimpses of some of these characters in the future, but I appreciate a clean ending to an enjoyable series.

Good to the last drop!

You know, I read the first book in this series because it took place in my hometown, Cincinnati. I read the rest of this series because it is so well written. I also have enjoyed listening to Ms. Gavin's wonderful narration throughout the entire series.

Kim Harrison tied up this series in a very satisfying way. It is hard to believe it is over! I loved the way the story lines came full circle. We now understand why Newt's powers seemed to be so much stronger than her male counterparts. We also understand her insanity throughout the series.

The visual of Cincinnati burning in the background with Al in the foreground was very striking. However, the most important question to the series still stands...what will happen to Ivy when she dies? I don't want to add a spoiler here. Suffice it to say, I love the way we get to add this answer ourselves.

This is a book about change and relationships, with a great deal of action. The entire series has been amazing. I was lucky enough to spend midnight Tuesday with Kim, her husband and a large group of fellow readers toasting the assumed success of the book, as well as the hours of pleasure this series has brought all of us. It is with great joy that I can recommend this series to you. At the same time, it was bittersweet to close the book knowing there will not be any more novels about Rachel and her world. However, I can always go back to the beginning and start over!

Thank you again, Kim, for your generosity of time spent with your Cincinnati fans and for the amazing amount of entertainment, laughter and tears this amazing series has given us. I look forward to your next series!

why end the story?

the story of Rachel had so much to give. why end 5 different line of history in one book. what happen with Nick? or what those Cornnels wants? what happen to him? why make 50 years old and kill the story?

Loved it!

Another great story about Rachel and the gang! I've grown to really care for these characters. Mrs. Gavin is the perfect narrator for this series (so much so that I have a hard time hearing her read anything else).

Love the narrator.

I read this entire series years ago and loved it so I decided to try the audible versions. I was not disappointed. The narrator did a great job with all the characters. Sometimes an audible book can be jarring if you have already read the print version because the narrator just dosn't sound the way the characters have sounded in your head. I would definitely seek out more books read by this narrator.
