The story continues to amaze.
Top tier read. Loved the audiobook as well. Just waiting on the third. Guess I’ll listen to The Slow Regard of Silent Things and Basts story while I wait another few years.. 😅

This is now the best book I’ve ever heard/read. It’s packed with flourish details with the best possible description of the main character. If you’re here after book one be prepared to be delighted, saddened and entertained by Kvothe has you join his adventures.

The Greatest Story Never Finished
This book, as well as its predecessor, could not be made better in any way in my opinion. All they lack is an ending. Will we ever see one? I don’t think so. But I can appreciate these two over and over again in spite of that. That’s how damn good they are.

Excellent Narration
I enjoyed the story and wish the 3rd book was out already I’ll satisfy my self by listening to the two secondary stories that have been published since.
I don’t like that the main character is 17 years old. It makes the story slightly less believable even though this is a fantasy book. He acts and talks as if he has the wisdom and life experience of a 40 year old.
I often found myself admiring the narrators vast vocal abilities. So many different and distinct characters. Not once did I get them confused based upon the voices. Very very well done.

Bother has some women problem
The story is engaging and moves from action to action. The prose is lovely and well crafted. Also, the main character has some strong “not all men!” energy that can be hard to live with. Especially whenever he relates to his manic pixie love interest. If you can get around that, it’s a good story.
