Publisher's summary

This is the destiny of those who stand for others. Their honor will be bought in blood and pain. The Camp Ryder Hub is broken. Lee is nowhere to be found, and his allies are scattered across the state, each of them learning that their missions will not be as easy as they thought. Inside the walls of Camp Ryder, a silent war is brewing, between those few that still support Lee's vision of rebuilding, and the majority that support Jerry's desire for isolation. But this war will not remain silent for long. And in this savage world, everyone will have to make a choice. To keep their morals. Or keep their lives.

The story keeps getting better

Narrator is fantastic, story is fun and keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting, needing to hear the next chapter. Not since the Mountain Man series have I so enjoyed the follow up books as much as the original.

dj molles knows what's up. he doesn't pussyfoot around survival. it's gritty and terrible and tragic and exceptionally entertaining.

Solid story line and lots of driveway moments

Enjoying this series a lot. I almost gave it a pass with the first chapter being a little far fetched but the story settled in and has gotten better with each book. Enjoyed the long commutes to work lately.

Great Listen, Great Series

This book along with the series has been great!! The narration and performance only adds to the story. The author does a very good job of developing characters and describing emotions and the back drop of the book. To understand the story you will need to listen to the other books, but you won't be disappointed.

Love this series!!!

I forgot how good this series was. The characters are great. DJ Molles always has them in danger. This is not a book ,you can read ,to get tired at night because the high stress situations, the main characters are always in. It’s great! Christian Rummel has a perfect voice, He makes a sexy sounding Captain Lee and a great pissed off women. Molles and Rummel make an awesome duo and I’ll be listening to every book they do together.

The Fight is on!!

Where does The Remaining: Fractured rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Ranks almost at the top

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lee Hardin

What does Christian Rummel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

While I like the narrator, it has taken me a while to get used to him. Perhaps because he also narrated the first 3. He has gotten better.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

Any additional comments?

I loved the storyline because there is so much going on between characters and the decisions and choices they make that will affect them and those around them. Angela has grown stronger since Lee found her and her daughter and a bit more confident although trapped and friendless among people she never believed would turn against her. She has become a stronger personality because she has no choice. Lee although betrayed and severely injured refuses to give up on himself and his mission perhaps because now he has a new charge, Deuce, that he feels responsible for. Harper is quite the leader but LaRouche although appearing strong is essentially a very weak personality, fighting against the leadership position he did not want. Jerry has shown his true scumbag colors and is far, far worse than anyone could imagine. Kidnappings, murder, treachery and unbelievable action taking place in the span of 3 maybe 4 days. And once Lee learns of Jerry's coup the fight for Camp Ryder becomes an all out war not just between the people but the infected. That is what kept me interested especially when you do realize all the action took place in such a short amount of time. Listening to it just brought the characters to life and Mr. Rummel appears to be more comfortable with the characters. In all, a great book that I would listen to again and recommend to others.
